Stopped here on the way to the airport. Asked if they would serve me because of my Tā moko (traditional/cultural facial tattoo. Didn't want to be rejected. They said of course and asked if it was a thing being rejected. I said not all bars but it is easier if I ask rather than order them be told they won't serve me, or ask me to leave. She was flabbergasted. Anyway had a nice cold Matsos ginger beer and ordered the large meat share platter $55 for three of us cos we didn't want a big feed. Atmosphere is good, have outdoor smoking area, lots of big screens for sports enthusiasts and Aircon kept it comfortable. Lovely staff and service and food which was quick to arrive. The beef ribs and steak pieces were cooked well. Salad was nice with olives and pickled gherkins. Bread was warm and nice too. Crispy pork was nice but only two pieces which was disappointing unless the player is for share with two rather than the people. Still, it was worth it.

Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing atmosphere. We live an hour away from here but the drive is worth it every time 👌🥰 All of our dishes tasted great. 🙌 Even the kids meals were delicious and I was pleasantly surprised about the size of the kids pasta dish 😄 We had the Garlic bread as our entreé, which came with four large slices of bread that was perfectly garlicy. The steak with roasted vegetables with garlic sauce and prawns, The fish of the day (which was salmon) and two kids meals which where Fish and Chips and The Garlic Bread and Pasta for our main meal. The kids also had ice creams with chocolate sauce and sprinkles 🍨 The waitress was also so lovely, she was very quick to take our orders and was very friendly. They also were very onto taking our empty plates. The only thing I would want is for them to bring back the sticky date puddings, because they were amazing! 🥰🙊

Always a great experience. The Kewdale Tavern serves up delicious meals that will fill your belly. They have a great variety of dishes to choose from and the portion sizing is on the larger side. I first started coming here because I used to have Celiac, and this restaurant has such a large number of gluten free dishes / options. It’s also a really nice venue. Good for catch-ups, celebrations, a meal with colleagues, or just wanting something yummy for lunch! I always dine in the restaurant areas, but they also have a sports bar style area where you can watch live sports and sit at high-seated chairs and tables by the bar. Highly recommended 👍🏽

*Coeliac SAFE when selecting gluten-free options - no cross contamination 👍 There aren't many GFO's off the top of my head as we are parmi addicts - The Kewdale can advise what is a GFO prior to booking.

Last night we went to the Kewdale to celebrate a 60th birthday as a small family. We had a lovely experience 😊

If you're looking to have a nice meal in a friendly spacious sports tavern then this is the place to go. Kewdale is a hidden gem with amazing staff - I cannot emphasise that enough (my family have been returning customers for years due to the quality service and good food). This venue is also appropriate to bring children for a meal.

The menu is great, you can definitely enjoy a parmi, steak n chips, or ribs if you don't mind getting a bit sticky.

The nasi goreng is definitely a winner! Don't be scared to give it a go! Also they have chef specials which are different every night.

The Kewdale Tavern is one of the few places I've found to be Coeliac SAFE. The past few years one of our family members has had consistently great GF parmi's and has NEVER been unwell from it. This makes a massive difference to their life as the mostly cannot eat out at restaurants due to cross contamination making them severely unwell. We know The Kewdale takes Coeliac clients seriously and we appreciate the effort they go to, to ensure we have a safe and delicious meal for all of us.

They have a nice outdoor area for drinks, they have a nice sports bar section, and a lovely space for guests coming for dinner.

I've given five stars because the food is great quality, and the staff are amazing, and it's a relaxing atmosphere. We feel valued as guests and appreciate that the staff go out of there way to ensure we have a great evening. They staff work great as a team and all staff will kindly assist you with any query or request.

Please keep in mind this is an Aussie Tavern in an industrial/business type area. The prices are definitely fair and the food doesn't ever disappoint.

Thank you to all the staff at the Kewdale for consistently providing a quality experience for our family for the last however many years we have been coming to you. We will see...

Kewdale Tavern deserves more than 5 stars for the most outstanding and well presented experience we had on the 15/08/2024. My Dad and myself have Celiac Disease and find it difficult and frustrating to enjoy dining out with the usual small option of a sad salad but the Menu! THE MENU!! I have never seen so many GF options since being diagnosed with Celiac Disease! A Chicken Parmi GLUTEN FREE! I never thought I'd see the day that a restaruant would have some of my favourite dishes pre-celiac available for me to eat! When the very delightful, energetic and very helpful waiter came to take out order, we asked if the GF items are cooked in the same oil or pan as normal food and he was very happy to tell us that they have seperate fryers and cooking areas for Gluten Free which instantly took the fear away of contamination. Then the food came out and OH WOW was it amazing. Massive size chicken and chips with a fully packed salad with honey mustard sauce and I couldnt believe this was okay for me to eat!! But then the taste was just out of this world amazing! It didnt taste like GF but it was!! AMAZING! But whats better is that the GF options extended to the kids menu so my 2 year old son who loves pasta could enjoy it and I didnt have to fear touching Gluten. I was even about to temp test the food because it was GF!! He ate and loved it. I am so damn impressed and definetely will be a regular. The prices are great and you definetely get more than you pay for. The service was out of this world amazing and he was just a pleasure to be around. If you have Celiac Disease and want a great meal with a whole menu of options, I definetely suggest going to the Kewdale Tavern! I woke up feeling fine and haven't had any issues either. 10 out of 10 across the board!!! Thank you for...

I had the normal parmi and it was quite nice. I shared it with my mum . Not the best but good and I've had heaps worse (at the Junction in the Casino) My nephew and brother enjoyed the super parmi as pictured - it was huge and they liked it . My hubby and the Sis in law's sis had the steaks and both were terrible . Hers was well done not medium rare. His was overcooked and covered in a sweet? gravy even though he had asked twice for the steak only with tomato sauce and chips and nothing else? He hates making a fuss and wouldn't return it even though I went to . He said the chips were nice that weren't covered in the weird sweet gravy . They have quite a good range of gluten free menu items and the ribs and squid were enjoyed by 2 others in our group. Service was friendly and reasonably quick . Decor nice but the bright afternoon sun blinded some of us so that huge window needs a block out blind for that tables occupants around 6/7pm Overall huge serves and a bit higher end price but not overboard and three quarters of our group was happy with their meal . But we won't return again as my hubby loves a good steak . I've given it a star more than I should as most of the others enjoyed their meal and the cook may have just had a bad day and the order...
