Stayed for two nights, room appeared pleasant until we opened the fridge. Shelves were dirty but worse the door seals were filthy. Asked at reception if someone was available to clean the fridge and was told that everyone had left for the weekend. No apologies, no offer to inform head of Housekeeping. I requested anti- bacterial wipes to do the job myself and was offered a few loose wipes. I said I was otw to the Hospital to visit my mother and would prefer a container of wipes to use later. Receptionist responded with ‘but I need them here’. She reluctantly agreed that I could leave the container of wipes with the staff at the bottle shop later after use. Upon returning to the hotel that evening we found every car park occupied even though the booking stated onsite parking available. As advised earlier, I went to the bottle shop to enquire where we should park and was told that this was the norm on weekends. When I said the booking mentioned on-site parking, the young attendant quickly offered to move his four-wheel drive, which was coincidentally parked directly in front of our room. Shower was mouldy, shower head was covered in soap scum and toilet lid dirty. Room was freezing and we attempted to see if air con was reverse cycle, unfortunately Information file offered nothing other than a selection of dishes from the restaurant and ancient Covid advice, so we will never know. Hotel wifi was unable to stream a movie, so we used our mobile hotspot instead Used $25 vouchers at the restaurant, fantastic, friendly, helpful staff, both nights, and delicious food...
Read moreDidn’t want to be that guy, because food here is normally amazing. I’ve never complained about food before at a restaurant, but this was absolutely shocking. My mate and I ordered the Thursday special steaks asking for medium rare. The portion we got was so small, and the steak was so small. I saw another guys steak that was double the size of mine, which is shown in the photo. The serving of chips was small (the photo I took I only ate two chips), and manager didn’t really do anything. We asked for medium rare and then came out with steak that is much more rare. We told the waiter kindly about the issues, and then another lady who I assume was the manager came out and told us that each steak is weighed to be 250g and just left it. This photo might not do enough justice, but I saw other steaks that were nearly double my size and the same thickness, and I just find it hard to believe my steak was 250g. Customer service was a bit disappointing since there was no resolution and serving size of steak dish was absolutely shocking. The dish still tasted good, but the small portion, disappointing customer service, and poorly cooked steak kind of killed the vibe. Food here is normally great like the wings and ribs, but I definitely wouldn’t come back and order a steak from here after our bad experience. Definitely normally a great feed here, but was just disappointed...
Read moreI’m not going to lie, the customer service wasn’t the best. I understand that it was busy at the time, although there should be some improvements made. The specific $25 porterhouse steak deal that me friend and I had ordered (since it’s a Thursday night) was pretty appalling. I was served with a very small portion of steak, asking for a medium rare, I received a much more rare steak (way more raw than intended). We had asked employees whether the steak was 250g as shown in the menu, since the salad portion was larger than the steak itself. The manager came forward and said that they had measured it, and that the steak was measured at 250g (which I doubt since eaton tavern and treendale farm have served much larger sized 250g porterhouse steaks). I also was a bit suspicious as me and my friend were taking a glance at some of the other customers around that had ordered the same meal, and their steak portions appeared to be much larger than mine. I’ve never actually complained about food before, as I believe food is food. I suggest that changes be made out of respect of...
