To the future RN that served me today (I'm so sorry I never got your name), you are going to be a fantastic nurse and let me tell you why:
Your customer service and people skills are exceptional - You helped me to make a decision on what burrito I wanted through your extensive product knowledge and by personalising my experience to suggest a product that I would like (I.e. vegetarian). Replace burrito knowledge with medication/treatment knowledge and you've got a RN helping her vulnerable patients to understand the treatment they are on and why.
Your passion and enthusiasm for working with people shines through your smile and your "can do" attitude to doing the best job you can, no matter where you are working, or if the task seems menial. This will place you in good steed for doing the harder (and grosser) jobs that come with being a nurse. Weirdly enough, stocktake, restocking, rotating, and checking product still applies in the nursing world, just with medical equipment instead.
Aside from the "soft skills" of customer service and conflict resolution, your technical skills at making a burrito are đŻ. This is the first burrito I have had from here in awhile that was (a) wrapped properly, (b) filled sufficiently with all toppings, and (c) tasted amazing. Just replace the awesome burrito-making skills with technical nursing skills (i.e., cannulation).
In addition to this, your store and workstation were clean, the ingredients were fresh and filled up, and you worked seamlessly with your coworker to fulfil an order before mine. Working together to keep a store organised, clean, and operational can also be translated to the nursing world.
You are a true asset to this store and I do hope this is recognised by your management team and store owner(s). Employees like you are hard to find, but are worth their weight in gold. You got...
Read moreMy partner and I visited at 8:40pm tonight. as soon as we walked in i smiled at the young girl working. she looked at me and looked away. my partner asked if they did kids bowls, she replied ânoâ so far, no facial expressions. we asked if we could get a bowl & split that bowl into 2, she stared at my partner for a good 20 seconds and didnât say anything at all. he explained it a second time, all we got was a stare. not even a confused look, just a look as if to say âyouâre idiotsâ i explained it for the third time. she stared at me for what felt like forever. she said to us â you might as well get a small burritoâ ⌠i said âwe donât want a burrito so donât worry weâll just get a bowlâ NO facial expressions at all. made me and my partner feel so uncomfortable. she didnât even ask what i wanted in the bowl, itâs a good job i worked at zambrero for 3 years otherwise i wouldnât have a clue. we grabbed our food & left and we both said how horrible that was. i have never seen such disgusting customer service. being in retail i know how hard it is, i donât know her story but this young girl was so rude. she definitely didnât want to be there & neither did we! i would appreciate talking...
Read moreI wasnât going to write about this, but since it happened twice in a week and you donât really take your customers seriouslyâŚ.
On Tuesday I went in store about 5pm with my 4 and 6yo children, we decided to dine in. The music was pretty loud which isnât really the problem, the music that was playing had lots of âFâ words and the theme of the song was about âsucking d*ckâ. I asked the staff member if she could change the song to something more suitable as this isnât appropriate for children, she advised me she and the other staff have no control over the play listâŚ. I cannot believe this is the music your management is choosing. She eventually turned the music off whilst we were there.
Friday night 5pm I went in again with my kids, and again loud music full of F words. The guy ruined my burrito because I couldnât hear him, and he couldnât hear me over the musicâŚ. I did not ask for three full spoons of rice, my burrito was like 90% rice đ¤Śđťââď¸
This is not a family friendly...
