Lovers Deli & Canteen — Restaurant in White Gum Valley

Lovely place! Was extremely busy when we went ~9.30am on a Sunday and had to wait a little bit for a table for 2, which also meant it was very very loud inside. There is outside seating but wasn’t available (not to the fault of the cafe!!)

The staff were super communicative and friendly about the wait which we appreciated

Bit of a wait on coffee, but made sense because of how busy it was, food came out at a super decent time 🙂

The kimchi toastie was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Highly recommend. That bread is an excellent choice. Drinks were great too, however very small (especially in the takeaway cup) for a $9 iced drink which ended up being 80% filled with ice

Overall an awesome place, clearly ran by people who care....

Love love love .. everything from the Syd Brak meets 80’s suburban deli aesthetic to the three types of Tabasco to accompany the simple but inventive menu. We sat outside (as we wanted nice sunshine) so didn’t get the full atmosphere. But we were able to get water for the table inside, the staff were friendly and coffees were good. My schnitzel was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. And the salad, while different was overall good. My partner’s sausage and scrambled egg muffin was delicious.
