I went down to try the half price night after reading that it seemed pretty good.
Got there and wanted to sit in the bar area instead of up in the restaurant which was fine. Due to it being busy I was told I had to wait 30 minutes to order, but once they were taking orders again they would take mine and look after me. Annoying but I was in no rush so I’d wait, had a beer and sat at the bar to wait.
Finally after taking orders again they took about ten orders before they took my order. Meaning I’d just have to wait longer again. My order was taken around an hour after getting there.
Once my order was taken (steak, barra and prawns. Steak ordered rare) I waited around 20mins for the food to arrive, again this is fine if I hadn’t waited an hour already.
Having waited for this time I thought “well, worth the wait”
The food arrived and was so disappointing having waited.
The dish was cold which is surprising given it shouldn’t have been sitting around
I had ordered rare so knew what I was in for but this thing was blue. They gave me a serrated knife but even that wasn’t enough, it had a pulse.
Prawns had been over cooked and rubbery. The barra was fine but the skin served down on the plate and not crispy, missed the mark.
Served with chips and a garlic sauce which was actually pretty good.
Disappointed really. Would have been happy with a wait and good food. Or quick service and they miss the mark. But to cop both was a slap in the...
Read moreFirst of all, don’t go here if you want to have good service. The food was alright, but after waiting an hour, anything would taste good.
The ladies down stairs at the bar seemed to be doing a great job, however the waitress we had at our table was trying to serve four tables at once while not knowing a single thing about waitressing. We also had to wait around 40 minutes for our drinks.
When we finally were able to order our food, she didn’t understand the concept of veganism, which meant we had to spend another 10 minutes trying to explain it to her.
She then told us there would be four pieces of garlic bread per serve, and when we received it, there were only three. That doesn’t seem like a big deal, however the issues continued to pile onto each other by the end of the meal.
We then asked for second drinks, and she only brought one of ours out. She then proceeded to say, “Oh my god, I forgot your second drink. I must be brain dead tonight”.
If you want to go here, just order your food from the bar and then make your way upstairs. The food and drinks took way too long and when we did receive service, it was bad.
Keep in mind this was on a quiet Thursday...
Read moreFamily of four last Wednesday night for our first visit and was superb. Didn't use 'Frequent Values' $25 maximum off the total bill offer (20 percent discount) as Wednesdays are half price main meals (one per person). The wife had the veal parmigiana, I had the veal schnitzel, the daughter had the alfredo and the son had the penne bolognese. Only a half hour wait for meals to arrive via the pleasant wait staff. Delicious food all round with just the right amount to tide us over till breakfast time. For some reason the young waiter completely forget about my entrée, the cheesy garlic bread but when it came time to pay we were too full to fit it in so no real drama there. Stuck with only the water supplied to save on funds for this first experience so all up only charged $50.50. Where in Perth can you feed a family of four for a tad over fifty dollars! Can be a little noisy if all tables are full but we seemed to arrive just after the peak period at 7:00 PM so the crowds dwindled to a more cozy atmosphere. Will visit again as the venue is really quaint and lots more to try from the seemingly delicious menu/wide...
