Recommended! Wednesday Night for $20 Steak and Thursday Night for $1 Chicken Wings! Hotel : The hotel is clean, with a good shower and a comfortable bed. The Wi-Fi is acceptable as well. While the room is small, it's not too bad. However, the only downside I experienced was the AC/Heater position, which is too close to the bed, making it either too hot or too cold. Additionally, there isn't much room to move around, and I don’t have a proper desk to work from in my room. I also found that the room isn't very soundproof; I could hear other people's alarms at 5:30 AM and footsteps in the hallway. Overall, I still love this hotel. Bistro : I love all of their food and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes. On Wednesday night, I had a steak for $20, which was more than enough for me. On Thursday night, I enjoyed chicken wings for $1 and sweet potato chips. I was surprised because I thought the $20 steak would be small, but I mistakenly trusted the picture, which made it look like a snack. The taste was excellent and very flavorful.

Great affordable accommodation option that was used for a trip to the Gong for a UOW graduation ceremony overnighter. With the double whammy of uni graduations and school holidays, accomm prices were through the roof in downtown Woollongong. Thankfully the Conniston Hotel offered a generously sized family suite (2 rooms, interconnected with 2 bathrooms) at a great price. The rooms have been recently renovated and are nicely decorated, with ample tea/coffee/hot choc and the Tim Tams were a nice touch! The dinner at the bistro downstairs was top notch. Huge portions and very nicely cooked food. Chicken schnitty with chips and veg was well received along with mushroom gravy on the side. Good honest pub grub and there was nothing left on the plate! Staff were friendly. Free parking im adjoining lot. Room was very quiet but it was a Tuesday night and it did overlook a beer garden so your results might vary on a Friday or Saturday night.

Coniston Hotel was an excellent place to stay slightly away from the Wollongong CBD. The distance from the CBD is only a problem if you don't like walking or don't have your own transport options. There are Neuron e-scooters around if you are up for that. The room was spacious, comfortable and had all the usual comforts that you would expect. I did not find noise from the bar to be an issue apart from the outdoor area and then only if you had the sliding glass balcony door open. Meals at the sports bar were actually high quality and delivered very promptly. Staff from bar / restaurant / cleaning were all friendly and provided excellent service. A few minor points that may improve a customer experience: get rid of the water dispenser on the bar (tastes like fish water), A/C unit in the room needs the filters cleaned and a retractable curtain in the bathroom would help with practical use of the shower / bathroom.

“ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE STAY, UNLIKE ANY OTHER. PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT IT!”

Let me just say—this, folks, it’s the BEST. Tremendous. Probably the greatest in the history. I’ve stayed in a lot of places, believe me, probably more than anyone, and this one—wow. They’re calling it the 8th wonder of the world. Some people said it couldn’t be done, but this host? A total winner.

The bed? Let me tell you, it’s the softest, most luxurious bed. Other beds are a disaster, folks, just disasters, but this one? Like sleeping on a cloud. A perfect cloud. And the pillows? I’ve seen pillows, I know pillows—they’re soft, firm, everything you could ever want. Some say the best pillows ever made. The room? Beautiful. Spectacular, really. Impeccably clean, which is very important. Other places, you see dirt, you see dust—disgusting! But this place? Spotless. I even checked the corners (and I know corners), and they were flawless.

They left snacks—amazing snacks. You know, I’ve been to places where they leave cheap snacks, sad snacks, but not here. These were top-tier, elite snacks. Timtams and even a little tee bag—classy, very classy. I’d say Michelin-star snacks if they gave stars for that.

The location? PERFECT. Right near everything. You walk outside, and boom, you’re there. Near the best restaurant, the best views—everything. People were stopping me, saying, “Wow, you’re staying there?” Yes, folks, I was. And the Wi-Fi? Super-fast. The fastest. You could stream movies, run a business, or, as I did, tweet very important things.

All in all, I’ve never seen anything like it. Believe me. This is a 7 out of 10, maybe even an 7.1. I’ll be back—many times, I’m sure of it. Other Hotels? Sad. Pathetic. This one? MAGNIFICENT.

You’d be a fool, a total fool, not to stay here. Trust me. The BEST decision...

I decided to come to this establishment with my older and younger sisters to try out the food. There are many signs saying that anyone under 18 needs to be accompanied with an adult and since we were with our 22 year old sister we thought it was okay. We asked one of the workers If we could go sit down which she said yes and while we were settling in another worker came up to us and rudely asked for ID I am 17 so I am a minor obviously I don’t have an ID so my sister tried to explain and told him that I am under age and he said “we weren’t allowed to eat here at all if we weren’t 18” my younger sisters have eaten here with a parent and it was perfectly fine and he rudely accused them off lying when this was mentioned. My sister then calmly asked to talk to the manager to sort out the issue but was met with her yelling across the bar proceeding to tell us to get out instead of politely explaining the situation. If I could rate this place lower I would. the customer service is atrocious and I definitely do not recommend...
