This used to be my go to for a delivered meal but the service has been getting worse and worse. One time the delivery driver knocked on the door instead of ringing the doorbell, and when we didn’t come to the door they just left the pizzas outside in the cold instead of ringing us (we did not hear the knocking, and having a camera doorbell could go back and see the doorbell wasn’t pressed). We didn’t realise our pizzas were even there for an hour, until we started wondering why our food was taking so long to arrive. We called to complain and the manager was very apologetic, which we accepted, but then about a year later the exact same thing happened again. Is it that hard to ring the phone number associated with the order if the customer doesn’t answer the door? These were not the only issues, many, many other times the drivers would not bring the correct order. We usually get a deal with two pizzas and two sides they have turned up multiple times with only one side or something like that. After the second time that the pizzas were left outside on the ground we stopped ordering from this place completely, but after many months we decided to order again one night against our better judgement, and of course, the order that was delivered was wrong. We ordered the two pizzas and two sides deal, and the driver only turned up with the pizzas. She was very nice and apologetic and said it was her first night, so I once again gave this place the benefit of the doubt by letting it slide, and was offered store credit of $11 for the sides, although I didn’t have much of a choice but to accept. Tonight I rang up and ordered the same meal and told the girl over the phone that I had store credit and wanted to apply it to the order. She looked up our account and confirmed we did have credit, and I paid over the phone, only to then find when my payment notification popped up on my phone that I had been charged in full by her (without the credit applied). I rang back and spoke to someone else and they investigated and confirmed and apologised and said that he would get the drivers driver to bring $11 cash as a refund. He also mentioned that they write their credits down in a book that he had to check first to confirm my story, and the fact they have a book for these sorts of screw ups does not inspire confidence. Sure enough the delivery girl turned up, this time with all the pizzas and sides, amazingly, but without the $11 cash refund. She said nobody had told her about it. I have given this place the benefit of the doubt so many times and been extremely understanding and flexible, far more than I should have been, but this is just stuff up after stuff up. I will never use this store again and I would seriously suggest you consider somewhere else. If the most basic things like taking orders and delivery are so disorganised, I can only wonder if the food is even safe to eat since the kitchen / pantry is likely disorganised too. The Bella Sicily pizzeria at Dapto Citizens has much nicer, Italian style pizza anyway, if that’s your thing. If you do decide to get food from here do not rely on delivery. The pizzas taste decent and the staff seem friendly, but that doesn’t change the fact that this place is chronically disorganised. I wouldn’t trust whoever runs this place...
Read moreI ordered 3 large takeaway pizzas for dinner. They arrived early, so I thought that was a good sign. Well, I was very wrong. They were not the worst pizzas I have ever had, but they came close. The topping on all the pizzas was disappointing. They reminded me of the bad frozen pizzas you bought at the supermarket. The pizza bases were all quite different, one had a texture of toasted pita bread, very flaky and thin. As far as the size of the pizzas went, the place must be run by a man because his 11 inches advertised pizza was under 10 at best. I rang the place to express my disappointment and spoke to a very nice woman. When I explained the pizzas were small, she told me they shrink in the cooking process. I told her about the small amount of topping and she said she would speak to the manager. The manager didn't speak with me and the woman said I could have credit for a pizza and a garlic bread. I told I was disappointmented with this as I would be stuck with 3 poor pizzas. I don't often write poor reviews as I try to contact the restaurant rather than malign them online. However, I am really disappointed with the food and the poor attempt to explain away their small pizzas, lack of topping and the variation in the pizza base. I will not be ordering...

The app and 'Bundle deals' are basically a scam. Select a bundle for large pizzas and the app defaults to extra large, and then adds a $3 surcharge per pizza. Select a bundle for 'pickup' and the app defaults to delivery and adds another $5 to your order. Select a 'signature' range bundle and 20% of their (non-vegan) range will incur a surcharge.
I mean seriously Crust, why don't you just put up a 'FREE PIZZA' bundle where the app lets you order whatever you want and then just takes out a second mortgage on your house without telling you?
