A hidden gem 15 minutes drive out of Wollongong. We decided to venture beyond the city for dessert, and this place exceeded all expectations.
It is a small cafe, enough room for a few groups - this size helps keep it boutique and the service quite personalised. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.
As for the food. Wow! The filled donuts were delightful (they do sell out, so be quick). We shared a platter (mini pancakes, donut sticks and churros bites), 1 filled donut and a small churros serve between 4 of us, it was plenty. I went in getting what I usually get which is a bueno donut fries, Iāve always received strawberries with it so I was suprised to hear this time I had to pay extra, no problems I paid extra but I also paid extra for chocolate and it barely came with any so I am really disappointed. A odd metal taste - no trace of vanilla and no sweetness. Let my friends have a sip to make sure I wasnāt crazy and they all agreed!? Iāve never felt more upset about wasting $6 as I had here. Canāt comment on anything else but definitely do not try a frappe. Iām not sure the staff are well versed on how to make one? Waited around hoping the girl who served us would come back so I could say something but she didnāt. After a sip, it went in the...
