Dragon Fountain Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

Seriously, I regretted walking into this restaurant tonight.

I walked in grabbed the menu. I sat myself down at the table was there for at least 510 minutes?

Then the lady came over to me and said I’m sorry I didn’t see you. I don’t know where you came from.

The restaurant itself was gloomy and dark carpet looked old

There was a older gentleman sitting across the other side of the restaurant, coughing his lung up or talking rumbling, gooey coughing

No hand over the mouth

I really should’ve just got up and walked out, but I thought no I’ll sit this out

I ordered the beef and fried rice.

There was plenty of it when it came out, but the food was very bland

The beef in itself I had no taste and was absolutely gunked in this black bean sauce

This is my review. Only other people have their own experiences of their dishes that they have chosen as I’ve read the comment. Some of the food has been reported okay.

But my experience tonight no way in the world I’ve been to better Chinese restaurants

Atmosphere was dull and lacking.

I’m sure there are some very good qualities about this restaurant. But for me, I’m sorry this is my experience.

Service was slow, servers not friendly at all. The restaurant hardly had any customers but it took too long to get any food. Asked the waitress for 2 glasses for our drinks, didn't get them, asked again for glasses when entrée was served, never ended up getting glasses at all. Food was not really worth the waiting time, fried rice came out luke warm and mushy, main meal was all onion and capsicum after we paid premium price for fillet steak was very disappointed to find hardly any steak in the dish at all, 3 small pieces in the whole dish and very chewy meat - was disappointed to say the least. Server noticed we had not eaten very much and offered to pack them so we could take it home - we declined quickly and couldnt wait to go home.Wont be going back again. I have had to literally eat my words because after only trying once a very long time ago i rated this place very poorly However after relenting and indulging with wife to order ld fried rice + curry prawns & rice + 2x soups not only could i not believe the quantity for take away (extremely generous) but Authentic quality in soup master stock & wok breath on the fried rice is both comforting The dining room is spacious & quiet but ordinary in decor Looks deceive when food is served & it has been a while since i recommended chinese on all aspects Do yourself a flavour (pun intended) Give...
