I drive over 40km and 30 minutes to buy the satay chicken bahn mi from this bakery. It’s so good. I have eaten banh mi all over the South Coast and Sydney. I always come back to this bakery because they are the best. They cook the satay chicken out the back whilst you wait. It is delicious and the roll tastes so fresh. The balance of flavours is great and the salad is always so crunchy and fresh. The owners and their staff are lovely. Nothing is ever a problem and I’m always greeted with a smile. I like that the bahn mi is always the same no matter who makes it. My husband likes their pork crackling rolls too. They often give me a freshly baked bread roll on the house when I buy a bahn mi, which has been lovely to have with homemade soup on these cold evenings. I found them via Facebook and Instagram. Their bahn mi is one of the highest rated in the region on social media. I don’t leave reviews unless I’m pretty impressed...
Read moreI'm so sorry. I'm leaving this review up to honour the legacy of this place, but it has been sold and rebranded. I can no longer recommend it.
This is hands down one of the best little hidden gems i've found. Lovely service, even better food. The pies are fantastic, the pork rolls are to die for, and oldmate "I only got 11 pieces of pork" is an idiot. It genuinely upsets me to see such slander of such a lovely local establishment - A place I may add the owner has LITERALLY run after me to offer me an extra roll she meant to include in my bag.
Seriously. Get the pork rolls. Get a pie. Get something sweet. You'll have a far better feed than you'd ever get for the same price at maccas across the road.
I cannot reccomend this place highly enough, and have and will continue to shill it to...
Read moreNew owner Don't go there for Vietnamese roll. Can't even rate it at one star. Our rolls were not edible.Waste of money. Won't be going back. A shame as the food was excellent under previous owner. Carrot not pickled, no radish, a heap of tastless white spread, could have been margarine. Pork barely cooked and no crackling. No idea what happened to the onion. Seemed to have been partly cooked with an Indian...
