His & Hers cafe — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

Well I've unfortunately had to edit this review, I waited for three separate visits before I do so to make sure it wasn't just the last two visits were of poor service and quality. Today was the third such occasion.

Today I went for a coffee, but I was greeted with "Hi, how are you" without an single glance of looking up at me, for a second I wasn't even sure she was addressing me. Rather too busy on her phone, from what I saw, FB messenger. After she took my order, she promptly made my coffee faster than I've seen a barista work, the speed wasn't my issue, after all some people are very good at their job. When I say, she not once looked at the milk when she was frothing, this is accurate, checking her phone again and talking to someone. The kicker here, the coffee grounds weren't tampered, I watched the whole process and was appalled. This in turn made a latte worse than the one I got from 7/Eleven a few weeks ago.

I would avoid this cafe for now, until at least new staff is hired or current staff...

First time visit. Love the outdoor seating vibe... Despite being on the highway, in a kind of no man's land between Fairy Meadow and Corrimal, His and Hers has nailed the local corner cafe vibe. The mother and daughter team are upbeat and efficient. Coffee wise, I had a small strong flat white. No complaints! They're using Riverina milk - respect! - and Holy Goat beans from Port Macquarie. No single origin option yet, but there's a mazzer super jolly sitting on the bench just waiting for the clientele to be ready! The San Remo machine is a beast... Love the see through side panels and the steampunk vibe. Food selection looks great. I went for the brekkie burger, which comes with a hash brown on it - winning! I'll be back. 3rd time I have gone here as its not local for us, 1st time l ordered the bacon and egg roll + coffee and was great so wanted to return when we were back in the area, 2nd time not so good, roll was stale which made the egg and bacon roll unpleasant, with coffee I always pay for an extra shot because for some reason people find it hard to make a regular coffee and ends up being just warm milk, so I always pre-empt this and go for an extra shot. So this in mind they couldn't even get that right and yes was just warm milk with froth... but I always give somewhere another shot and on my 3rd visit it hadn't change and was a mirror or the 2nd visit, unfortunately I won't be...
