Scratch Coffee Co — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

Sadly my mum and i had a negative experience at this coffee shop today. The man serving us was rude and not open to simple feedback. We ordered 2 coffees to drink there, however he gave them to us in a take away cup (he didn't think to ask if we are sitting down). Thrashy music was playing, yet we were the only ones there. We politely gave some feedback about the music and he brushed it off and told us "everyone else likes it". My mum then gave feedback that it would have been nice to have a proper cup to drink coffee from. He replied with "well you saw me writing on the cup..". What a rude man with no EQ or customer service. My mum is part of the Red point artist community. We wont be telling people to attend this coffee shop and in fact will warn them a rude, arrogant man...

After searching for coffee roasters while on holidays I came across Scratch and was excited by their website but upon driving to visit them was bitterly disappointed with the experience. We were greeted with no customer service. I ordered a Long black. To be told - there were no lids for that size cup. I hadn’t said take away. He just assumed we wanted to leave, and he wasn’t wrong. There was no music, no chit chat from the barista, we felt stressed and uninvited sitting there waiting for my one coffee- my boyf didn’t order anything as they had no cold brew or cold drinks to offer him. I decided to give it a go after I had read all the other reviews. I’m working at retail I have to be super friendly ( with my shiny smile) to everyone who walks in, but I can just be myself when I go to this cafe, there is no ‘how are you’ or ‘how’s your day been’, What coffee would you like? Coffee is ready. And a nice coffee. That’s all you got which was awesome I love it! I do noticed the music I will have to say the owner has his own attitude, all the decorations of this cafe are nice, really good balanced I would say....
