I travelled from Melbourne to meet friends for lunch here. Not much was open on a Saturday morning!! I ordered the Rosti, and shouldn’t have. This cafe seems to do well producing burgers that were going out to a big table of guys, but anything else is really sub standard and I wonder if a ‘cook’ rather than chef works here. Maybe the chef called in sick, as the meals were really that bad. Apart from the eggs being cooked well it was a big expensive ($26) disappointment. The potato rosti was obviously a frozen one out of a packet that had been over cooked and burnt. There were about 8 pieces of asparagus, seems generous but they were just long yellow stalks (no heads) that were inedible - . chewy and stringy. My friends caeser salad barely covered the bottom of a medium sized bowl and consisted of pale yellowing lettuce cut into squares (???). The chai tea minus two sips was left. It was watery and a strange floral flavour which we suspected wasn’t measured and hadn’t been brewed currently. Really disappointed and out of pocket $26 + $ 11 for coffee and a slice. New staff working the front service with no training on the register and no knowledge...
Read moreI recently visited The Collective Coffee, and I was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming and kid-friendly it was. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with plenty of natural light and cozy seating arrangements. There’s a dedicated play area that kept my little ones entertained, allowing me to actually enjoy my coffee — a rare treat for parents!
The staff were incredibly accommodating, offering high chairs, kid-friendly menu options, and even engaging with the children to make them feel comfortable. The noise level was just right — lively enough to not feel awkward with kids, but calm enough to relax.
The decor is charming, with a mix of modern and whimsical touches that make the space feel both trendy and comfortable. It’s the kind of place where you could easily spend a couple of hours without feeling rushed.
If you’re looking for a spot where both you and your kids can have a great time, I highly recommend giving this place with scramble egg and pancake.A Place must be visited for great...
Read moreMy husband & I had lunch here. We ordered coffee each & the waitress came out with an "extra hot" latte & a regular latte, I had ordered an "extra shot" latte... the waitress apologised & took the coffees from us to be rectified. Both of us wished we'd kept the "extra hot" lattes as the replacements were lukewarm!! My husband would have given 5 stars for his Wild Mushrooms, but the lukewarm coffee made his decision to award 4 stars. I had the Buttermilk Pancakes with blackberries, maple syrup, passionfruit labne. The pancakes were very well done, bordering on burnt, I had to request more maple syrup as the blackberries were very tart & the dish needed more sweetness (I ended up scooping off many of the blackberries for this reason), the labne had no visible signs or taste of passionfruit. That coupled with the coffee I could only give 3 stars. PS. The coffee had a lovely flavour, which should be...
