What a great find in a little awesome town on the coast Booked a table with Catherine who welcomed us with a firm recommendation for the Malaysian dishes. We arrived to a welcoming diggers club scanned in and seated at our table. Visitors beware when you transfer your winnings to the club card, unfortunately we trusted this process, went to have lunch in the club then returned to continue playing the pokies yet the winning balance was no longer on the card. The attendant was extremely rude and dismissive even though we asked for her assistance when initially transferring our winnings to the card. Duty manager said if it's not on the card you must've already spent it, but that definetely wasnt the case. They refused to check their camera footage. Staff said they can only go on what the computer says, well technology is not always right and we know we did not receive or spend our winnings, our winnings were transferred to a card owned by the club so they're the ones benefiting in this scenario. I was told they would contact me within 24 hrs after the days takings were balanced but weeks later still nothing. Oh my Lord…you know the old saying, “there’s a party in my mouth…” well wait until you try the clay pot lamb massaman from the Beach St Dining room in Woolgoolga Diggers club! Outstanding to say the least. Every single mouthful was even more delicious than the last. My partner ordered the chicken and cashew clay pot which was also delicious but after tasting my lamb massaman he asserted that we will be back during the week whereupon he shall order it for himself. We also had the vegetable spring rolls which were very fresh and tasty. The customer service is truly lovely, from the friendly guy on the cash register to the manager, (I assume), coming over to ask if our food was ok. OK???
