We ordered 4 main dishes (2 fish and chips, 1 breakfast set and 1 omelette) and 4 drinks. After quite a while, only our fish and chips and 3 drinks got served.
The fish and chips were mostly chips with two slightly warm pieces of fish that are barely bigger than a fish finger. Feels like the fish have been pre fried already.
The last drink (a coffee), came only after about 40 minutes of waiting and a reminder. The lady serving it to us was apologetic and gave us an upsize for free, but still, how do you forget a customerās coffee when thereās barely 10 orders at once and all the tickets are sitting on the counter table?
The omelette took forever to come and only came 15 mins after we asked what happened to it. The omelette was barely seasoned and looked like they just tossed in some ingredients in the middle and wrapped it up. There were no greens at all, and the staff forgot to serve it up with the sourdough (which isnāt an add on, itās listed on the dish as omelette and sourdough). How do you take an hour on an omelette and forget about the sourdough?
Most of the staff didnāt seem to care that things were going out slowly and wrongly.
Really terrible service, food, and service recovery overall. From what I see in other reviews, responses from the owner have been pretty aggressive as well. How about just acknowledge that your food and service isnāt up to par and work on the feedback? Customers donāt write this kind of things for fun you know?
Even if this cafe is the only one open in the Woy Woy, Iāll rather head off to another area for food. Do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the second time visiting this cafe. The first visit was underwhelming but they hadnāt been open long so I thought Iād wait a while before visiting again. I arrived at 8.30am this morning and had 30-minutes to spare before my 9am appointment in the same complex. I was the only customer in the cafe and I ordered a coffee a toasted sandwich. My coffee came quickly but after 20-minutes I enquired about the food, letting the lady know I had an appointment in 10-minutes. She apologised and asked if I wanted it to take away. I said no, I couldnāt sit there eating it at the optometrist. She checked with the kitchen and said it was coming out in one minute. I thought I could still eat the sandwich in 9-minutes so I sat back down. At 8.58am I still didnāt have my food and went back to the counter. I told the lady I had to leave for my appointment and Iād like a refund for the cost of the sandwich. She refused and tried again to give it to me as a take away order. I reminded her that Iād been there for half an hour, I was still the only customer in the cafe and it was just a sandwich - not something that needed cooking from scratch. She still refused to give me a refund and I had no choice but to leave to get to my appointment. Very unprofessional and an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDid not have a good experience as first time patrons. Upon ordering at the counter, asked the barista for coffees to be placed in take away cups (had an appointment at Specsavers and donāt like to rush my coffee), but that my daughter would have her banana bread whilst sitting at the cafe. He acknowledged this and did something on the register - unsure if we paid more for this or not. After waiting half an hour for our coffees and banana bread, and with my appointment time nearing, I went to the counter to enquire the status of our order. After waiting another almost 5 mins at the counter, the barista started walking towards my table with our coffees. They were not in take away cups, so mentioned this to him. He turned around and started pouring the coffees from the dine-in mugs into take away cups (fine, we donāt want wastage). I enquired about the banana bread and he appeared to have forgotten this altogether and quickly placed a banana bread onto the toaster. The cafe was not busy at this time. It just appeared to be a lack of time management. The coffee tasted like hot water with a hint of burnt coffee beans. Will not return to Lush cafe at Deepwater Plaza based on...
