I've been a long-time supporter of Yankalilla Bakery and used to absolutely rave about it to anyone passing through the area. The food was always generous, fresh, and consistently high quality - it genuinely stood out.

However, over the past few visits I've noticed a significant decline. Portion sizes have shrunk, the overall quality has dipped, and several items taste noticeably different, suggesting that some recipes have been changed. The flavours just aren't what they used to be, which has been disappointing after years of reliably great food.

I want to make it clear that the staff are still absolutely lovely - friendly, welcoming, and always providing great service. They remain a real highlight of the bakery.

It's just a shame to see the food side decline so sharply, especially when this place used to be exceptional. I truly hope the bakery can return to the quality and recipes that made it such a standout in the...

The customer service here is quite literally the worst I’ve ever encountered anywhere. I work in retail, so I make a point of being extra pleasant to shop staff because I know how awful it can be to get a rude customer, well today I was served by an older lady (maybe late 40’s to 50) and she was so rude, barely spoke, rolled her eyes when I asked for the croissant I purchased my daughter to be warmed up, thrust the bag at me without a word and kind of grunted? I was gobsmacked. Went to my car and took one bite of the spinach pasty I bought for myself and oil literally poured out of it all over my face and shirt, I looked at it and the bag was soaked through completely with oil. I took it back, was not offered an apology or refund. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Reading through other reviews it does not look like an...

We came to this bakery for lunch just now as I wanted to have a nice, fresh salad wrap for brunch. I had seen online that the bakery offered wraps on their menu. When I asked the girl behind the counter what sort of wraps they could offer, she said she 'didn't have wraps' and her tone of voice was incredibly rude. There was a sign saying sandwich bar was closed. What a shame. Perhaps you need to update your online presence, as it states that you have wraps/sandwich bar - and you don't. This is misleading for the public.

We ended up having some pastries which were ok, pastry was nice and flaky. The pasty was nice. Good customer service goes a long way and it doesn't take much to be friendly and courteous to paying customers. This girl should not be front line, serving the public with her rude attitude. Young girl, maybe 19-22yo...

I used to LOVE this bakery. I would have argued that they had the best pies in Adelaide but something has happened and the quality is not there any more. In the photos I have posted you will see a very big, delicious potato pie that I bought a couple of years ago and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The second photo is of a very small potato pie which was ok in all honesty but now that I’ve had the second pie I will not be returning.

This is a large bakery capable of accomodating big groups. They make coffee and have a good variety of other drinks available. Lots of vegan and gluten free options. My partner and I ate the vegan pasty which was the best we had ever eaten. The pastry on all baked goods looks golden and flaky. Lots of staff were working so we didn’t have to wait long. I understand why this place is so popular. We will be back.

Standard fare at a typical regional town bakery- can’t comment on that as I can’t eat it. Salad bar CLOSED!! so little choice left for Gluten Free. Of the two GF choices I had the florentine, which turned out to be more of a slice. It was OK but packed with corn flakes - personally I prefer the traditional recipe; smaller with almonds (quality over quantity) Coffee was good.
