Yankalilla Hotel — Restaurant in Yankalilla

A very happy coincidence had us deciding to have a pub meal for lunch the next day and googling hotels near our holiday home. Schnitzel Day at the Yank on Tuesdays! What a deal. $15 for a chicken or beef schnitzel with toppings. We booked online not to miss out! On arrival we were greeted immediately by a very friendly waitress and shown to our table. We had a great choice from the main menu, specials (printed! No need to walk around and look for special boards) and schnitzel day menu. We ordered a chicken parmi and a beef kilpatrick. Our meals came very quickly. The main menu says the schnitzels are 250g and these being on special were definitely still that size and didn’t skimp on toppings. The chips were tasty and crunchy and the salad and dressing was good. I couldn’t finish mine and there was no problem getting a container to take the leftovers home. Great selection of drinks including SA Wines and cocktails. Like all the food, the drinks were very well priced. I had a Giesens Savvy and then a Raspberry Rumshine. The cocktail was so good I sucked the ice cubes dry to get every drop! It was a great experience. Great staff, food and drinks and the bottlo stocks my tipple....

Spent a week in Normanville and only found this hotel 2 nights before we left, needless to say we had our last 2 meals here. Fantastic! Really they have something for everyone, from normal pub meals to gourmet dishes - the first night I had the chicken breast stuffed with prawns with lobster tail on top with a delicious sauce - couldn't get better anywhere! Partner had the steak with seafood - to die for! Great selection of wines, we opted for The Boxer Shiraz - Molly Dooker Wines - thoroughly enjoyed with our meals. Mon-Thurs they have a theme night with very cheap meals - Curry night looked great - on the Thursday we opted for their Steak Night specials - which were their normal steaks but at a much cheaper rate - wonderful! Their desserts were to die for as well. One of the most important things about the Yankalilla Pub is their gorgeous, friendly and helpful staff - this makes the place even more attractive - couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely be back when we visit South Australia. Keep up...
