I didn’t expect this culinary experience in a village of this size. Well thought out and constructed dishes with significant asian influence. They pay as much attention to flavor as they do to texture. They serve every table with a variation of 3 butters, warm toasted bread, pickled vegetables and variation of couple bite sized dishes that will tickle your tastebuds the right way. The appetizer options are even more intriguing than main dishes. I had trouble choosing just one as they all sounded very tempting. Out of 3 main dishes I tried 2. The asparagus plate stood out above the Japanese fried chicken. I regret not getting the fish option instead of the Japanese fried chicken which was a little underwhelming after the appetizer and welcome tasting platter. Don’t get me wrong, it was tasty and crispy, but it didn’t surprise me and compared to the rest of the meals it felt ordinary. The only thing that bothered me a little bit was that they didn’t have menu in English which I would expect in restaurant of this quality. The servers had no problem with translating and explaining the menu though. The service was great and they presented every meal with enthusiasm and professionalism. Absolutely very delicious food and very nice service. Both the waitress and the chef were very kind and helpful. We called the place quite late to ask for take-away and were met by very kind and helpful staff. We ordered the Thai curry and with was delicious! Big portions and very rich of vegetables! Can definitely recommend this restaurant and after 1 week of stay at this area I would say it is one of the best! We were sorry we didn’t have the opportunity to go there several times. We just arrived for our week vacation in Altaussee and found this TRUE GEM of a restaurant. Everything we had was an absolute delight of perfectly balanced flavors that leave you wanting more. The service was so friendly and impeccable towards our group who did not speak the local language. We will definitely be back!
