Short: regionally unique medieval experience dining Long: It's all about the experience in this restaurant, don't get me wrong, the food is not bad either, but the real deal is the entertainment and surroundings. It's basically a multiple course diner (you can choose the quantity) in a medieval themed cellar. There's things to know: you're supposed to eat with your hands (aided by a knife, yes - also the soup) and there's a chance your participation in the evenings activities gets a little more active than you'd expect (won't spoiler it anymore though). So if you bring along your best dress and spoil it - you have been warned. There are freelance entertainers giving their best to give you a proper guidance throughout all the courses. It's inside Halls old Town, but there's plenty of parking spots nearby and you can also choose a vegetarian or even vegan option. Two more things: prior reservation recommended and bring some time, it starts around 7pm and depending on your menu choices 11pm is a realistic ending time.

You should definitely go there to have a medieval dinner experience eaten by hands (without a fork). You receive only a knife to cut the meat and a spoon for the sauces; that's it! They make you feel like you teleported in the past. All the food is served by traditionally dressed servants/waiters/waitresses. One person looking like a real knight explains the rituals between the intervals of each course. In addition, there are also some mini games, shows and such... If you're looking for something special, that's definitely it! The only thing I would criticize is the fact that everything is in German. It could be better if they consider adding English information for the tourists. Or else, you should go there with a German speaking person to help you understand 🤭

Not really suited for couples. Aimed more at big groups. Also not for non German speaking people. We were specifically asked to take a later slot than the one we booked to be in an English group, but it ended up being almost exclusively in German anyway. The food was ok, but the 8 course meal turned out to be a 7 course meal, because apparently a little pot of cream with the apples counts as a meal??!! Which made us really confused at the end, we waited 30min for the last course before asking them what was going on and being told it was over. The entertainment is not really interesting, I was expecting dancers, jugglers, something like that, but they just took people from the big group in our room and made them dress up. So not very interesting as we did not know them and felt more like we were intruding into a party. Overall very disappointing, would not recommend especially if not in a big German...

Auch will man in Ruhe schauen, was angeboten wird, vielleicht auch in Ruhe schauen, was welches Getränk kostet? Wenn man Stil will, dann muss eben alles zusammen passen.
