Cafe Heiner — Restaurant in Oetz

Update: When I initially wrote this review, it was about two weeks before I went to Austria again. Today, as I am here, I went to Heiner. To my suprise the riesenshnitzel was removed from the menu and all other shnitzels are mediocre in size. Overall a humbling experience that makes me realize times have changed

For the past several years I’ve been going on skiing holidays to this area. At least that is what I tell myself, internally I question myself whether I am actually visiting to ski, or to eat multiple riesenschnitzels in one week at Heiner. It is, without a doubt, the best riesenschnitzel I have had in my entire life. The combination of the schnitzel, the cranberry compote and the fact that the heating in the restaurant matches that of the average blood cycle is just perfect. Austrian cuisine...

Update: Last year we were at Heiner, too and this year we chose this place twice. The reason was simple, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is great and the staff is super friendly and very speedy. We had the honour to be served by Isa who is literally cheering up the customers. We love it here! This time I had the pizza dal chef and my family had the Mexican dish and the Heiner Burger. All of them great choice. Thank you guys!

Super friendly staff welcomes you in this nicely decorated big restaurant. Their pizzas are generously large and really tasty. The salade is made with fresh ingredients and the pasta is just delicious. If you are in Oetz or you plan to go there my advice is that you dine at this restaurant. You won't regret. We arrived at the store about 21:30 with my girlfriend I ask if they are open and they told me of course if you see the store is open there we are! So we take a sit and after 5 minutes waiter came and say that kitchen it’s closed we can serve you only pizza! We ask for a soup and after 2-3 minutes say yes then my girlfriend asked for a salad so the waiter without hair never answer then came the young man with the name Aaron and bring us the salad!!
