I really wasn't expecting much from this famous or shall I say infamous apres ski spot where plenty of partying has been had and plenty of apres ski shenanigans has occurred. I mean what can you expect from a loud party spot that is the spot to be starting at 3pm as ppl start skiing down that sick run ready to drink and dance naked on tables? Not a whole lot! LOL. This is the prime example of a "ya can't judge a book by its cover ".
After a rough morning up top with the boys and many tough runs with low visibility...our ski squad was spent and in desperate need of some fuel at 2pm. Heck last we ate was brekkie at the hotel at 7:30. We popped into this resto for a quick bite not expecting much. Just a few beers, some chocolate chaud and some.wings perhaps. Boy were we fooled!!
First of all, they have an excellent draft beer selection. I am not even a beer drinker but the boys were living their drafts. I had chocolate chaud with a dash of rum. LOVELY!! We got an order of the wings, the ribs and a Goulash. The wings were not your typical wings. Whatever the wings were marinated in was really good! It was crispy and thin skinned not greasy. The ribs were huge and also super flavorful. The Goulash I wasn't expecting much from but that really blew us away. We ordered one expecting it to be small but it came in a huge bowl and enough for 4 to share. Super Hearty and full of Chunky of meat and veggies and potatoes.
Service was fantastic. I would def not hesitate coming back here for lunch next time on the slopes. It's not rowdy during lunch but once the apres ski folks start rolling in, it gets crazy but a fun kinda crazy.

Read moreExtremely disappointing experience with a waiter from MooserWirt on January 3, 2025. We initially had lunch there and gave this waiter, who was working upstairs in the old section, a generous tip of 20 euros. At first, he seemed fine, but things quickly took a bizarre turn later in the evening.
This same waiter was apparently taking cocaine in the village and then insisted to the Swedish doormen at Bobo’s to have me kicked out of the bar. Despite me doing absolutely nothing wrong, they complied because he is a local and they seemed intimidated by him. This is unacceptable behavior from anyone, let alone someone representing a respected establishment like MooserWirt.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I am injured and recovering from surgery, and I made this very clear to the doormen. The situation escalated purely because this waiter deemed my 20-euro tip “too small,” which is absurd and unprofessional. Unfortunately, I don’t know his name, but he worked upstairs in MooserWirt’s old section on January 3, 2025, and he is Austrian.
MooserWirt, I urge you to investigate this matter seriously and take action against this individual. For customers, I strongly recommend avoiding this waiter if you encounter him. This kind of behavior has no place in hospitality or...
Read moreAt €8 for a generic beer, a complete refusal to accept card payments at all when I visited, and extreme difficulty getting a table unless you arrive before 3pm, you have to reeeeeally like this place to justify what is a significantly more expensive option than all the neighbouring apres ski venues. Honestly, until the music kicks in later in the evening you'd probably have a better time at one of the many other options on slope; without the live music there's nothing special about this place at all and it seems to get by on reputation rather than actually being good. My advice? Go do your early afternoon apres elsewhere and load up on more affordable (and better) drinks, then head down to moosewirt an hour or two before closing to dance on the tables without a need to deal with the bar staff or remortgage your...
