Restaurant Metzgerwirt — Restaurant in Sankt Veit im Pongau

I got the „METZGERWIRT SCHNITZEL" OF PORK bacon I cheese I mushrooms I potatoes on recommendation of my server who said this is a house speciality. I am so glad I listened to him. This was decadent on every level and I thought I did not even like schnitzel.

The side salad was excellent loaded with lots of fresh vegetables and of course, pair it with a good beer. Or two. Also recommend the garlic bread comes on really tasty French bread loaded with garlic buttery goodness.

The place was not very busy, and although my server was incredibly friendly and spoke perfect English, sometimes he would disappear for way too long, kinda like the cultural European 3 month long holiday. (Just jealous…) 😉

Visiting from the US, I will definitely come back here just...

It's a cozy, inviting restaurant which made us feel immediately comfortable. A perfect mix between a traditional Austrian restaurant with modern influences.
