My Favorite Café in Vienna: A Cozy Gem Amidst the Buzz

This quaint café has been a delightful addition to my list of favorite spots in Vienna. It's a refreshing escape from the bustling 'bobo' cafés that dominate the district, offering a relaxed atmosphere that feels like a well-kept secret among the locals. Despite its small size, the café exudes warmth and charm, inviting you to stay a little longer than you might have planned.

The food here is a revelation, standing out for its quality and taste, easily surpassing what's available in the surrounding area. But the true star of the show is the coffee—simply put, it's the best you'll find in the district, brewed to perfection and served with a genuine smile. The availability of newspapers adds a touch of tradition and leisure to your visit, encouraging you to slow down and savor the moment.

Children are welcomed with open arms, making it a family-friendly haven where even the little ones find something to enjoy. And when summer arrives, the outdoor seating transforms the experience, allowing you to bask in the Viennese sun while indulging in your culinary favorites.

This café is not just a place to grab a quick bite or a coffee; it's a retreat from the everyday hustle, a spot where every visit feels like a small vacation. It's clear why it has quickly become one of my favorite café houses in Vienna. The only drawback? It's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, exactly when I often find myself wanting...

Very cozy and relaxed atmosphere - perhaps a little too much so; once we got our food, the server basically ignored us in favor of her phone. Food is OK, but I missed some attention to details - eggs Benedict with generic white bread is just disappointing, and a couple lettuce leaves on the side wouldn’t hurt either. Coffee is of good quality but indifferently served: I ordered a flat white and got a latte, and the espresso was left to run too long, making it thin and watery.

In short: it’s got the potential to be a really great place, and I wanted to like it more…but...

This is by far one of my favorite places. It is really a comfortable and nice place to go to before or after a hike in the area. The food is really good and so is the coffee. The outdoor seating is great and the indoor seating is cozy. Plenty of space, kids running around, ping pong table. Bus stop right across the street so it is easy to get there. The wait staff is also very nice and quick considering how busy...
