We were looking for a traditional Austrian restaurant where we could try local dishes. We chose the place because of the menu and the reviews.
All of us ordered pork with dumplings and sauerkraut. The whole dish was lukewarm at best, the entire plate was swimming in the sauerkraut juice, and the taste was bad. The meat was tasteless and thin, sprinkled with whole caraway seeds. The dumpling was edible because it had no taste, but at least we got only one piece, and one of them had cat hair in it. We tried to wash it down, but the beer didn't taste good either; there was only Schwechater Hopfenperle on tap, and there wasn't Ottakringer even in bottles.
To top it all off, the kind owner thought it was funny to shoot my fiancée with a water pistol.
We probably would have fared better with anything else on the menu, but no thank you,...
Read moreIt is always a good sign when you see a good score from many reviews. So we tried it. Very friendly staff-owners. Very patient and very willing to help. We were two families on the same bill so he split it right aeay even if the place was full and it would have been easier to say it is done and we split it afterwards between us. Very good prices compared to other places and big portions. Not a large variety but very tasteful recipes. Goulasch os really nice, schnitzel is tender and tasty, soups are also delicios. Beer is well priced too. And again, the feeling of a homely place, the friendly atmosphere. These people love what they do, they do it with a smile and a joke and they do it well. Don't expect michelin stars but I think you are not hunting this if you are reading this review....

This small restaurant is cozy, you can tell that locals go to this restaurant for a nice meal and a laid back experience. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I had the schnitzel which was good, but what was really surprised me was the salad on the side! Lovely bits of thin potato, thinly sliced cabbage and other bits that was salad in a way I had...
