Kent Restaurant — Restaurant in Vienna

We used to go here regularly but then a number of things happened. First, they raised the prices significantly - a 5-euro kebab now costs €5.90. Of course, many kebab places are raising their prices due to inflation, but usually just by 20 or 30 cents.

More concerningly, a friend of mine ordered a döner box recently but they told him "you can't have that indoors, it's only for takeaway" - despite him having ordered a döner box numerous times in the past and eaten it in the restaurant. The waiter said he could order the döner box on a plate, but it would cost an extra €1 (€7.90 instead of €6.90) - so my friend agreed. When the bill came, they charged him €12 for his meal. When my friend complained, they gave him some made-up reason for why it was more expensive.

Beyond that - the food is good, but the portions are small and the waiters are rude.

Unfortunately, this place used to be a favorite of ours, but now we will look elsewhere for...

AVOID: Glorified gyro bistro. Someone put a lot of hardwork into the branding of this restaraunt and it looks great from the outside. The menu looks great, wait staff are well dressed and the food is horrible! The worst meal that I had in Vienna. The worst meal that I have had at any restaraunt in a long time. I was charged 39 euros for cheap food with no taste An example of the low quality food: I was feeling under the weather and ordered a hot tea. I was served Fanta in a tea cup that was heated up in a microwave. Every aspect of this meal was cheap...

Ich bin sehr enttäuscht. Es gibt Tee, irgendeinen Tee. Man weiß ehrlich nicht, was man da eigentlich trinkt. Kaffee wäre aber schon auch möglich gewesen. Leider ist keine einzige Beschriftung/Bezeichnung der Produkte vorhanden. In meinem Fall wäre es sehr wichtig gewesen, Allergenhinweise zu bekommen. Nachfragen ist möglich, nur wird falsche Auskunft gegeben bzw. weiß das Personal nicht genau darüber Bescheid. Achtung, achtung: Im Fladenbrot ist Milch und Ei! Nichtsdestotrotz gibt es ein gutes Salatbuffet, sehr ölig und deftig, aber ganz nett. Der Hummus hingegen ist wahnsinnig lecker. Ob er aus eigener Hand stammt, ist fraglich, aber die Qualität stimmt. Dafür gibts einen Stern! Es gibt auch ein paar aufgeschnittene Früchte, Cornflakes und z.B. auch Nutella. Ansonsten kann man noch zwischen gegrilltes-in-Öl-getränktes Gemüse, jede Menge paniertes Zeugs(laut meiner Begleitung ganz gut, jedoch nicht identifizierbar) und Pommes wählen. Leider muss ich mich einem Bewerter davor anschließen: Essen ist leider lauwarm bis kalt. Zusätzlich hätte es auch ein bisschen Fleisch (in Form von irgendeiner Wurst?) zur Auswahl gegeben. Die Qualität der Produkte wirkt leider nicht wirklich hochwertig. Für ein Frühstücksbuffet ist 9,90€ pro Person eigentlich OK, jedoch ist vieles verbesserungswürdig. Personal ist wirklich höflich und nett. Ich wurde später sogar darauf hingewiesen, zukünftig besser auf die Allergene zu achten. Vielen lieben Dank, sie helfen mir nicht wirklich dabei!

Fazit: Nichts für Allergiker oder "bewusst-lebende" Menschen! Backwerk nebenan wäre wahrscheinlich die bessere...
