We visited Namaste as a party of four adults, a toddler and a baby. We were concerned that there wouldn’t be enough space for the stroller in the gastgarten as so many restaurants pack the tables so tightly with but we needn’t have worries as they were well spaced out. The street is also very quiet so perfect for families with young (sleeping) kids!
We ordered some starters to share, the tikki potato cakes and shrimp pakora were a favorite of everyone at the table! We ordered some chicken and lamb dishes for main courses which were also great, the portion sizes were large, especially the biryani, we even had enough left over to take home.
The server was extremely friendly and helpful. He was the only server working and as there was also a lot of take away orders he seemed to be busy but we never waited for anything, he was attentive and always came immediately when he saw we needed something. Overall we can highly...
Read moreThe food was as delicious and beautifully presented as advertised. There's a ton of variety, and most of it was offered at the discount sometimes available with reservations on TheFork.
The service was personable and caring. We had samosas and wings as starters (I'm sure the hashed potatoes would have been even better!) with doubled sauce amounts. Make sure to ask for the samosas with the harder shell. The softer ones are served in a tasty sauce, but the harder shell ones are more potato-and-spice-forward.
For our main dishes we had one dish per person plus a bunch of sides. I recommend the sweet version of the yoghurt side dish; the salty version was a bit much for the already very savoury dishes.
We left fully satisfied with the food and service. The location is nothing special, but the terrace deck is lovely. Just make sure you only book on days when you can sit outside; they do have umbrellas for light...
Read moreWe went here because we had seen all the positive reviews about the dinner buffet for just 9.50 euros. Let me just start off by saying that it no longer exists - they got rid of it, for whatever reason. (As of this writing, the lunch buffet is still an option). We ended up having to order individual dishes - we decided on two of the two-person thalis, at 23.50 euros each. The waiter emphasized that each thali would be enough for two people, but when the food arrived, I found that not to be the case. There was very little rice and the naan was scarce. The curries tasted fine, no complaints there, but the amount of food was also minimal. The dessert was comically small - one tiny bowl of rice pudding for two people. We left the restaurant not...
