Kramladen — Restaurant in Vienna

Yesterday I witnessed once again how a person of colour from a larger White group was the only person in front of me who was not allowed in by the bouncer, who is a person of colour himself. Two weeks ago, I also witnessed how I was racially profiled AT A FRIEND’S CONCERT and was the only person surrounded by White people to be picked out by the White cashier and asked again whether “we” had paid for admission to the concert. Every time I’ve been to the Kramladen, I’ve experienced a situation like this. My friends and I won’t come anymore. The bouncer has been there for ~over a year and apparently nothing is being done (because it was written in the comments below that the staff is regularly replaced?). It’s absolutely sad that your evening can be ruined like this again and again. The person yesterday was only let in after the White friends talked to the bouncer for a long time, but was devastated and no longer felt comfortable, as I spoke to him. What a tragedy. Never again Kramladen.

Edit: I just saw the response from Kramladen and am really disappointed by the empty words. The person I witnessed wasn’t smoking and was visiting this bar for the first time. Additionally, I want to highlight that I am also a non-smoker. Honestly, it’s very disappointing that you are neither able to apologize nor refrain from making false accusations. I think that speaks for itself about the kind of place...

Weiteres Update: ich wurde körperlich attackiert von einem Kollegen von eurem abscheulichen Türsteher mit gefärbten Schnauzer und ich habe eine Zeugen der bestätigt dass ich nur da gestanden bin und nix getan habe , ihm hat vermutlich mein Gesicht nicht gefallen ich weiß es nicht, ich habe keinerlei Interesse mit euch in ein persönliches Gespräch zu kommen sofern solch ein Mensch bei euch eingestellt ist. Ich überlege mir eher eine Anzeige zu erstatten.

Genau der Türsteher ist so ein Typ welcher nicht in Clubs rein sollte geschweige den ARBEITEN.

Schreckliches Erlebnis im Kramladen am Gürtel - Nie wieder!

Ich bin absolut entsetzt über meinen Besuch im Kramladen am Gürtel. Mein Erlebnis war nichts weniger als traumatisch. Von dem Moment an, als ich den Club betrat, wurde ich mit einem unerträglichen Maß an Respektlosigkeit behandelt.

Der Türsteher, ein älterer Mann mit schwarz gefärbtem Schnauzer, war einer der unsympathischsten Menschen, die ich je kennengelernt habe. Seine rassistischen Bemerkungen und seine aggressive Haltung waren inakzeptabel. Obwohl ich vollkommen nüchtern war, wurde ich schikaniert und sogar handgreiflich behandelt. Es war demütigend und beängstigend.

Die Tatsache, dass solch ein Verhalten in einem öffentlichen Etablissement toleriert wird, ist schockierend. Ich kann nur jedem raten, diesen Ort zu meiden. Der Kramladen am Gürtel verdient es nicht, in unserer vielfältigen und inklusiven Stadt zu existieren.

Ich werde dieses schreckliche Erlebnis bei den zuständigen Antidiskriminierungsstellen melden. So ein Verhalten darf nicht...

Bands have to pay to play here and I say No Way !! Why should bands play when they are doing the entertainment and should be paid for doing this job. Management or owner should pay for sound technicians as they are employed by the owner and management. I will fight this Pay to Play policy...
