The Wong - authentic chinese kitchen & bar — Restaurant in Vienna

A modern-style Chinese restaurant serving traditional cuisine — and by far the warmest service we’ve ever experienced! It seems to be a family-run place, and the hospitality made us feel genuinely welcome. Occasionally, a little 2-year-old boy — likely the son of one of the owners — would walk around, and he was so adorable that we couldn’t stop smiling. 🥰🥰🥰

The food was incredibly delicious — we ended up enjoying our lunch for three whole hours! The restaurant is also exceptionally clean and well-maintained.

It’s honestly surprising how few reviews there are for such a wonderful place — it truly deserves more recognition.

Surprisingly delicious!

At first glance, it looks like a typical Asian restaurant, but the food is amazing, the prices are even better, and the service is lovely.

I was staying nearby and this was the first place I tried upon arriving in Vienna. I'm a big fan of Asian food, and I highly recommend this spot.

Das Restaurant The Wong ist modern und ansprechend eingerichtet, die Speisekarte bietet eine große Auswahl. Mein Gericht (Rou Mo Ban Mian) hat mir sehr gut geschmeckt, war frisch zubereitet und mit gutem Aroma. Leider war meine Freundin mit ihrem (Rou Fan) weniger zufrieden: es schmeckte recht langweilig und es fehlte einfach der gewisse Pepp.

Die Nachspeise (Xiang Jiao Juan) konnte uns leider auch nicht überzeugen. Die verwendete Schokosauce schmeckte wie eine typische Fertigsauce und passte für uns nicht gut dazu, die Röllchen wirkten eher künstlich im Geschmack. Falls es sich um ein zugekauftes Produkt handelt, wäre es vielleicht besser, es ganz wegzulassen oder durch eine hausgemachte Variante zu ersetzen.

Positiv hervorheben möchte ich die sehr freundliche Kellnerin, die den Besuch insgesamt angenehm gestaltet hat.
