Our visit to Salam Aleykum Restaurant in Baku left a lasting impression, as we were immediately struck by its grandeur and the captivating beauty of its interior design. The restaurant boasts an expansive size, creating an atmosphere of opulence and sophistication that sets the stage for a remarkable dining experience. However, it is important to consider a couple of aspects before making your decision.

One observation that caught our attention was the tendency of many tour guides to recommend Salam Aleykum Restaurant. While this may be a testament to its popularity and quality, it's worth noting that some guides may have a vested interest in doing so, potentially receiving a commission. This aspect can raise doubts about the authenticity of the recommendation and whether it solely stems from the restaurant's merits.

Additionally, it is essential to consider the price factor. Salam Aleykum Restaurant falls into the higher end of the pricing spectrum. While the food and service quality are commendable, it may not align with everyone's budget. Thus, it is advisable to assess your personal preferences and financial constraints before deciding to indulge in a dining experience at this establishment.

In conclusion, Salam Aleykum Restaurant in Baku offers an exquisite culinary journey within its impressive and beautifully designed premises. The grand size and luxurious interiors add to the overall appeal of the dining experience. However, it is important to be aware of the potential influence of tour guides and the higher price range associated with the establishment. By taking these factors into consideration, you can make an informed decision that aligns with your preferences and budget. If you are seeking a special dining experience and are willing to splurge, a visit to Salam Aleykum Restaurant can undoubtedly be a...

Upon perusing the menu, we selected a variety of dishes to savor. Our choices included Dolma, eggplant salad, prawns, mixed grill, meat pilaf, and pomegranate juice.

As we eagerly awaited our meal, anticipation filled the air. The first dishes to arrive were the Dolma and eggplant salad. Both were exceptional, capturing our taste buds with their vibrant flavors and impeccable presentation. Their appeal was undeniable, evidenced by how quickly they vanished from our plates.

Next came the mixed grill, prawns, and meat pilaf. While they were enjoyable, they didn't quite reach the same level of excellence as the Dolma and eggplant salad. The flavors were satisfactory, but lacked the memorable spark that would elevate them to the same status as the standout dishes.

As the meal drew to a close, we prepared to settle the bill of approx 180 USD. However, our excitement turned to disappointment when we discovered that only cash payments were accepted. This unexpected inconvenience cast a shadow over an otherwise pleasant dining experience. We had the necessary funds but planned for something else, feeling somewhat inconvenienced by the lack of card payment options.

Reflecting on the overall experience as a tourist, we couldn't help but feel a mix of satisfaction and disappointment. While the food was generally enjoyable, the cost seemed high and inconvenience of the payment situation left a sour taste in our mouths. In the future, we may hesitate to return unless alternative payment methods are made available. And tip was requested.

In conclusion, We departed with full stomachs but with a slight sense of regret...

Highly expensive & misleading in making overpriced dishes to order. Being expensive is not bad, if you justify it with your quality & honest service. But there is a different & unique scam running there. The waiter introduced himself to you with the extreme politeness & friendly possible manner in that he completely understands your culture & food taste. Then he recommend you only a couple of dishes which would be best suited to you, with some side fresh juices or beverages to make your appetite. And when you try to look into the menu he stresses on ordering those best suited dishes only which was introduced to you as if they would definitely made your day. However when food comes yes it has really nice taste & everything going well. Then when you finish they present you the bill, which is 3 times the value you would have expected. Actually they order the dish for you which is most expensive in the menu saying it designed for you & not allowing you to see the price in the menu very tactfully. A lemon peice cost 3 mannat, a beer bottle 30 mannat, & your fav dish 225 mannat.. & so on, truly amazing 😁.

Also you can see similar reviews from other customers too. Truly unprefessional approach just...

We dined in for lunch, this was our first time as per the recommendation of our driver. Its a huge restaurant with all the amenities. The staff was friendly and the main issue was almost none of them speak English. Being one of the most tourist recommended places, they must look into this. It was difficult for us to order our food as the waiter didn't understand anything we said. Finally we ordered something which was just about average. The overall atmosphere of the place was crowded and noisy. Surely its a very sought after restaurant as we could experience would definitely visit again with our family.

I recently dined at Salam Aleykum Restaurant and had a pleasant experience. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance with a designated area for smokers and non-smokers, which is a thoughtful touch. The food was delicious, especially the mutton Karahi. The service was also commendable, with the staff being attentive and cooperative. While the prices are slightly higher than average, I believe they are justified considering the ambiance and quality of food. I would recommend Salam Aleykum Restaurant for a special occasion or when you're looking for a more refined dining experience in Baku.
