I was part of a group of guests that stayed at the Baku Marriott Hotel Boulevard from the 27th of February until the 03rd of March, 2025.
This is another noteworthy property from the Marriott line, and as usual, it offers all the attributes that individuals are fond of about this chain. The property is substantial and strategically positioned, and the service is of the highest calibre.
The check-in procedure was seamless, as they had already prepared the room keys. All we had to do was distribute the keys to our guests, and they had six elevators that swiftly transported them to their rooms.
The rooms were spaciously furnished, well-lit, and some rooms faced the Caspian sea. All amenities were available in the room, consistent with the Marriott standard I have observed globally.
The lobby was spacious and provided ample seating options. The staff at the reception were uniformly courteous and warmly welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere.
On one side was the hotel entrance, while the opposite to the main entrance was another door that led to the path towards the Caspian sea. We had stayed here during the coldest months, with temperatures dropping to -01 °Celsius and occasionally below, accompanied by icy winds that penetrated through all of your protective layers, as if a hot knife pierced butter. I am confident that during the warmer months, one could enjoy the sunrise and sunset from the outdoor chairs.
The restaurant where we had our breakfast was The Green House, and the menu was extensive, and the service was impeccable. Due to our group's preference for Jain cuisine, the hotel offered a complimentary breakfast for them. Additionally, we had our own chef preparing their breakfast elsewhere and delivering it to the hotel.I approached the Restaurant Supervisors, Mr. Rasad and Mr. Madar, if they could assist me in bringing to the dining area the specially prepared food by our chefs who had prepared it elsewhere for our guests. They graciously assigned Mr. Subhan and Mr. Shaniz to assist us. My sincere gratitude goes out to them for their assistance.
I would also like to express my gratitude towards the following staff members who have consistently demonstrated utmost care, respect, and willingness to serve our group, including Mr Orkhan, Mr. Alasgar, and Mr. Emil. Additionally, I would like to express my gratitude towards Ms. Sabina, who has been instrumental in assisting my guests in selecting the pastry that was eggless, and Ms. Uluiyya, the gracious hostess who has captivated us with her radiant smile every morning.
I sincerely hope that I have accurately spelt out their names. Their service was impeccable, with a positive attitude and a gracious disposition that made our stay even...

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Rude Staff, Poor Service & Breach of Privacy
I had the most horrible and unprofessional experience at Marriott Boulevard Baku during my stay on January 28, 2025, and January 30, 2025. From rude, unhelpful staff to a serious breach of privacy, this hotel completely failed in providing even basic hospitality.
1st Check-In (Jan 28, 2025 - Midnight): After a long 12-hour journey with senior citizens and a small child, we were denied check-in despite having a confirmed booking. Staff members Sateymur, Gasham, and Teymur refused to accommodate us, claiming they hadn’t received payment, even though our second check-in was already confirmed. After 2.5 hours of arguing, they finally gave us rooms but showed no hospitality – not even offering water until we explicitly asked. 2nd Check-In (Jan 30, 2025): The hotel contradicted their own earlier statement, now claiming that the first check-in payment was received, but the second check-in was missing payment—clearly manipulating the situation to create inconvenience. Staff mocked us in their local language, pretended not to understand English, and ignored requests. They deliberately gave us smaller, low-grade rooms without the amenities we had booked. When we requested proper rooms, they agreed but intentionally separated our rooms by 25–30 rooms, making it impossible to take care of our family. Unacceptable Service & Privacy Violation: The bell boy deliberately delayed our luggage transfer for 30 minutes, despite three staff members standing idle and gossiping. A hotel staff member Nurlan entered our room without permission, took photos, and tried sneaking in—a shocking violation of privacy and security! Poor Hospitality & Service: Even simple requests like a shaving kit took over 30 minutes, and many requests were ignored. The entire experience felt like intentional discrimination – staff members openly laughed, ignored, and mistreated us, showing a clear lack of respect for guests. Final Verdict: This was by far the worst Marriott experience I have ever had. Disrespectful staff, lack of hospitality, false excuses, and even security concerns—this hotel is a disgrace to the Marriott brand.
I strongly advise travelers to AVOID this hotel unless you want to be treated poorly and deal with incompetent, rude staff who do not care about guests.
Marriott Corporate needs to take serious action against the management of this hotel. I will also be escalating this matter to higher authorities. Absolutely...
Read moreThis is my first poor review of a Marriott property, and it's painful to write as a Platinum Elite member. I've stayed in Marriotts worldwide, but have never encountered staff as rude as at this property. On June 16th, I called housekeeping at 11:45 pm for help with a charging plug for Middle Eastern chargers. They said there was no help available and no compatible plug in the room. I also requested water bottles, which they promised but never delivered. After waiting for more than 30 mins, I connected with the front desk who smoothly resolved both issues promptly. Infact the rooms have one charging plug for 3 pin chargers while the housekeeping team said they don't have.
On June 18th, I arrived for breakfast at 11 am, the buffet's closing time. I found that they closed majority of the counters by that time so I requested for some basic stuffs like bread, butter, and water, but the buffet manager refused and told me to order from room service, despite my having checked out. I mean I can understand you can't open a live kitchen for me but if something is readily available can you not go above and beyond to ensure that your loyal guests doesn't leave hungry. He infact asked another waiter not to bring anything from the kitchen for me and asked me to order from room service. Starving and with an infant and bring late for my tour, I somehow grabbed a few leftover items. I again requested the manager to just help me with one glass of water for my baby. His response was the same that they can't help and why can't I order it from the menu. When I kept on insisting he said that he is bringing it and went inside the kitchen. I waited for 39 mins but he never came back.I have been to properties which give you an extra bottle of water for the infant. It's not costing then energy or money but in this property the manager was so rude and lacked basic humanity and an understanding of hospitality.
In contrast to other Marriott properties with high service standards, this property's staffs especially the breakfast buffet manager completely lacked empathy and basic understanding of hospitality. The only positive was the front desk staff, who were extremely professional and capable.
I am giving 1 star solely for the front desk staff. You can create a good infrastructure but to keep up the name you really need to demonstrate that you care for your customers. I never felt that I was cared for infact it...
