I’ve never really been a fan of Filipino food — just being honest. The home-cooked meals I’ve tried didn’t win me over, and my visit to Manila didn’t exactly change that either. It also feels telling that you mostly find Filipino food in areas with big Filipino communities… maybe it’s just not for everyone. That said, the food here wasn’t bad, but I still prefer other Asian cuisines. We had Porksilog — fried pork belly with a sweet sauce, served with rice that definitely had some MSG love, an MSG-loaded soup, and a fried egg. Classic. Then there were the spaghetti… and yes, I know, ordering spaghetti at a Filipino place probably wasn’t my finest culinary decision. But still, curiosity won. The sauce was super sweet, with some mystery sausage mixed in, and unmelted grated cheese sprinkled on top. Prices were higher than expected, and the drink selection was pretty bleak — just water, 7Up, and Mountain Dew. The iced tea that came with the Porksilog wasn’t bad, though still on the sweet side. In the end, I had hoped this meal might change my opinion about Filipino food, but… not quite. We actually ended up here because everything else was closed, so at least it saved us from going hungry.

one of the best restaurants in Bahrain for Filipino food,. it can be found by location or google map. almost all the food is here like Pakbit, Guisadong monggo, Sinigang, preto na bangos, sisig, it's good here for those who want to have a party, like birthdays, weddings and other occasions like anniversaries. all the food is delicious. and it's very cheap. so countrymen. let's go here to taste the delicious food they cook.
