Marina Beach Garden Park — Attraction in Bahrain Island

Marina beach has a timeless quality about it and is the place you can visit with your family to exercise, catch up with friends and create memories.

I remember years ago, when I went there as a child for the first time, the green grass of the park juxtaposed with the sounds of the ocean was beautiful.

Back in the day like 20 years ago, the beach was a lot less crowded and you could cycle there. As a matter of fact, I've never forgotten the memories of my father pushing my cycle and the moment when I finally got my balance and started cycling 🚲 with the ocean breeze blowing around me.

Then of course the 🐬 dolphin Park was built and my school 🏫 took my class on a trip there. I saw dolphins with my own eyes 👀 for the first time and to this day I can recollect the excitement of the entire class, almost like they wanted to jump with the dolphins.

Marina beach was my family's favourite haunt for walking when I was in school but things have changed now.

There have been a lot of other additions including a hotel made with the aim to turn the place into a tourist trap. Lately, that means walking is not as relaxing as it had once been since you constantly have to make course corrections to avoid bumping into groups or crowds.

The marina beach park is built up around a boardwalk (seaside) which contributes even more to the relaxation experienced when there. It already is a popular chill out spot among locals and expats...who come in with their families and friends. There are several small restaurants and walkway food stalls along the entire stretch.
