I recently visited Chef’s Table and tried dishes from various restaurants. Here’s my detailed experience:

Creamy Cheese Pasta – "Caprichiozza" (490 BDT) The portion was generous, enough for three people. However, I was quite disappointed with the dish. It lacked the creamy texture and rich cheese flavor that one would expect from a "creamy cheese pasta." The pasta felt bland, and there was barely any cream. Overall, it did not live up to its name or price.

Thai Seafood Rice Bowl – "Thai Bay" (395 BDT) This dish was a pleasant surprise. The portion was again sufficient for three people, with a good amount of prawns, calamari, and crab. The rice was fragrant, well-seasoned, and flavorful. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish and would highly recommend it.

Chicken Skewers – "Cilantro" (260 BDT for three skewers) This dish, unfortunately, was a letdown. The skewers were extremely dry and lacked flavor. However, they were served with a sweet pickle, which was the only enjoyable part. For the price, I expected better quality and taste.

Taro Milk Overload (Regular) – "Chamichi" (460 BDT) I had high expectations for this drink, but it fell short. Despite being the best seller it was quite a disappointment. The taro flavor itself was decent, but the boba pearls were not enjoyable at all. Additionally, there was another type of pudding inside that was completely bland. The biggest downside was the price—460 BDT felt outrageously high for what was offered. The stuff behavior was not friendly as well. Given the cost and taste, I would choose Cha Huanum over this any day.

Kebab Platter – "Spices" (490 BDT) This platter was an absolute delight. It included four pieces of naan, five pieces of well-marinated chicken, raita, and a pudding. Though advertised for two people, we comfortably shared it among three, and I believe it could even be shared by four. The naan was soft and fresh, the chicken was flavorful, and the pudding was simply outstanding. I could eat the pudding every single day but the amount was less for even one person. The only downside was that the raita didn’t taste very fresh. Overall, it was a great value for money.

Center Point only serves soft drinks in cans and charges 70 BDT per can, which is quite overpriced. They refuse to sell regular plastic bottles and even mark bottled drinks in their fridge as "not for sale." This feels like an unfair tactic to force customers into buying overpriced canned drinks.

The overall space was moderate but not particularly impressive. Although they claim to open at 11:00 AM, when we arrived at 12:45 PM, nearly half of the restaurants were still closed. Among those that were open, a significant number refused to take orders. This lack of organization was frustrating. Additionally, the seating arrangements weren’t comfortable, and the food variety was not as diverse as expected.

While some dishes were excellent (like the Thai seafood rice bowl and kebab platter), others were disappointing. The pricing of drinks and the lack of proper management at Chef’s Table were major drawbacks. I hope they improve their operations, especially their commitment to opening hours and food...

Our first visit to Chef’s Table at Centrepoint was a mixed bag of experiences. I came here with my family, eager to explore the newly revamped food court. Despite the entire mall currently being under construction, we were determined to make the most of our visit.

Chef’s Table has a vibrant, modern setup, and there's a wide variety of food options to choose from, which initially made us quite excited. However, our experience was significantly marred by our unfortunate choice to dine at Turkish Express.

To put it bluntly, the food at Turkish Express was disappointing. We waited an incredibly long time, around 40-45 minutes, for our food. When it finally arrived, it was cold and, to our dismay, some items seemed undercooked. The flavors were lackluster, and it was clear that the food quality was far below expectations.

The saving grace of our visit was the other activities available at Chef’s Table. My son had a wonderful time engaging in the various fun activities set up around the food court. The interactive games and kid-friendly attractions kept him entertained, which made the overall experience more bearable.

In summary, while the atmosphere and additional activities at Chef’s Table Centrepoint provided some enjoyment, I would strongly advise against dining at Turkish Express. The food quality was poor, the wait time was unacceptable, and it dampened what could have been a pleasant outing. I hope the management takes note and works on improving the dining experience at this particular outlet.

If you visit Chef’s Table, perhaps opt for one of the other eateries and take advantage of the entertainment options available...
