This is Bangladesh's first study cafe, or that's how they advertise it. I have never seen another one, so I guess it must be so. Was really looking forward to going their for a while, and finally had the opportunity to pay a visit. And it really met all of my expectations and beyond. Let me just point out some of the best parts about this cafe: The location is actually really easy. If you are walking and live in/near Niketan, just cross the road from police plaza and take the bridge of Hatirjeel. After crossing the bridge its only 5 minutes walk. The environment of the cafe is serene. Staffs are super nice. Free wifi. The silent/study zone is free too. Which is also amazing. The minimum order fee is 200BDT, if you want to use the silent zone. Which is a lot better than many cafes. Absolutely Pristine toilet. Really good quality coffee with beautiful coffee art. They also provide a small cookie with the coffee, which is a plus.
If you are looking for a good place to study and also enjoy some cafe-style food or all-day breakfast, definitely pay this place a visit. But if you are visiting and sitting in the silent zone, please have the decency to order food. Today I had to see a guy who sat in the cafe for hours, using the silent zone without ordering anything. He did not bother to order even after the staffs politely asked him. Please don't do this type of indecency. This is a business and they have to pay their bills at the end of the day. If you want respect, please convey respect first. However, the staffs were still nice to that guy. Which I really honoured as a human being.
On a different note, the food is actually decent. Not the best, but not the worse either. Very much edible and definitely fresh. The coffee is definitely the highlight of the snacks. Highly recommended, if you want to study and eat some tasty snacks too. Keep up the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTruly one of a kind experience here. Amazingly calm, smells of really good coffee. The food is great. I had their regular breakfast platter and a cup of cappuccino. Perfect combo for mornings. However, they should keep a check on their washroom. I found a half smoked joined out there (didn't inform the staffs, might have gotten into trouble if they accused it of being mine). It was right there on top of the tissue box. I'm assuming it was from the night before I went there as I was the first customer who went there the day after. Overall, this was a really good experience and I'd surely go again for studying (if I can afford, being a private uni student from an upper middle class family has downsides xD). Recommended for students to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a wish to check out this study cafe for a while, and today I finally got the chance to visit with my niece.
Well, this appears to be a place I might have been looking for. I appreciate their intention and efforts to make this thing happen in Dhaka. I found it as a mind-refreshing place with great atmosphere and food availability.
I wouldn't classify it as a cafe. Although, they have sperare areas for chitchat and study.
Point to be noted that you shouldn't come here to have get together or hangout.
I'd love to visit again for the sole purpose of studying or working quietly. I hope they will continue the cafe even if they bear financial losses (I believe they didnāt run this cafe just for...
