It is not very hard to maintain quality, even if you are a small business. Quite a few red flags to keep in mind if you want to visit this place:
Not the best in cleanliness. Dirty sheets, dirty chairs, dirty floor. There is a chance they are not serving you fresh food. We were served wontons that had sour crust. :( Also the fried rice smelled so bad I was hesitant to eat it :"( Even if they served you everything fresh - the recipe could use a lot of modification. The decoration, the infrastructure, the menu, the recipe - is pretty outdated.
For example, the most exciting dish of our menu was - chicken sizzler. It came with a big splash and sizzling sound. But, when it was finally cool enough to eat, all excitement was gone. The most prevalent taste of that dish was sweetness - which was not pleasant but odd. Also, nobody uses sheet table clothes and chair covers for chinese/indian restaurants anymore. Keep the table and chairs without cloth! Much easier to clean and also does not annoy the guest with such dirty table and chairs. It does not take a very sharp eye to see that they have not washed those table clothes and chair clothes in ages.
However, their chicken cashew nut salad was pretty standard - though I am not sure how many times they fried their chicken bits to give it crispiness. Also, the best dish was their American Omelette Chopsey. It was truly delightful and truly saved my dinner.
They show some potential but in some cases, truly fail to spark. Cleanliness is important, so is modernizing of the dishes. The business needs to pay more attention to better customer experience.
Not recommended. But you can explore if you want to, definitely proceed with caution and communicate...
Read moreWe went there for a quick evening snack. We ordered their pasta and fish and chips (they're the only restaurant serving fish & chips in Sreemngal).
The pasta was good but the fish and chips were over cooked and so crunchy that it was hurting my mouth because of its flakes.
The atmosphere inside is horrifying! They have very old furniture and that's not the biggest concern. The lighting they've set inside is very gloomy and dark which will make you depressed where you are going to spend quality and happy time.
What I felt looking into their atmosphere is despite being a very old restaurant in the town they didn't upgrade them with time and remain as a date house for college couples with that shady and gloomy dark atmosphere inside.
NEVER GOING...
Read moreThose who are planning to go to Srimogol & confuse what to eat, according to me one of the best place in Srimongol to have chinese cuisine. Apart from chinese food, they also serve bhaat, kacchi, polao & snacks items. The place was huge. You can easily arrange a party for 200/300 people. If i talk about food, it was served just on time. So tasty, little bit expensive but this is the only restaurant in srimongol where you will get all types of foods. Their service & behaviour was also humble. Out of 10, i will...
