I recently visited Kutumbari Restaurant in Sreemangal, which is situated at the central point of the town. Known for its popularity, I had high expectations but was left somewhat disappointed by the overall experience.
Firstly, the lack of parking is a significant inconvenience. If you're planning to drive, be prepared to find alternative parking arrangements as there is no designated parking area available.
The food quality is average at best. While they do marinate the fish and meat upon order, the flavors didn't stand out. One of their main dishes, the chicken biryani, is actually more like chicken polao, which was a bit misleading. Additionally, their parcel service needs a lot of improvement. Serving dishes in polythene is not only unappealing but also raises concerns about hygiene and environmental impact.
The interior of the restaurant is decent, featuring tables and chairs made of bamboo, which adds a rustic charm. However, the overall ambiance is just okay and doesn't particularly enhance the dining experience.
Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed indifferent and not very attentive, which detracted from the overall dining experience. Given the high expectations set by its reputation, Kutumbari Restaurant falls short in several key areas.
In summary, Kutumbari Restaurant in Sreemangal may be centrally located and well-known, but it lacks adequate parking, offers average food quality, and has subpar service. With some improvements in these areas, it could better live up to its fame. As it stands, there are likely better dining options...
Read moreI recently visited Kutum Bari Restaurant in Sreemongol and tried a few of their biriyanis. The regular chicken biriyani and the Kutum Bari special biriyani tasted quite similar—the only difference was that the Kutum Bari version had a small portion of mutton. However, the price difference (170 vs 320) felt a bit high for such a small variation.
On the other hand, their chicken tikka biriyani was excellent—flavorful, well-cooked, and definitely the highlight of my meal. The quality and quantity were both satisfying.
The ambience of the restaurant was pleasant, and the overall environment added to the dining experience. Staff behaviour was decent, though not exceptional.
Overall, Kutum Bari is a good spot in Sreemongol if you want to enjoy biriyani, especially the chicken tikka biriyani, which I would...
Read moreThis was our first visit to Kutum Bari. On the way to Dusai Resorts & Spa, we had our lunch there. Unfortunately we reached there around 11:45 in the morning and found that they just opened. Not all the menu item was available that time and some of them are available only in particular period of the year. However, we managed to order some food which were of average standard. Price was ok. BBQ chickens were from previous night. The only food among the orders I liked so much is their garlic naan. Amazingly tasty! Even Dhaka restaurants won't make that kind of naan. Wish I could enjoy that naan with freshly cooked kebaab or grills. May be next visit I might have a better chance for a better experience. Hotel...
