I've had the opportunity to have lunch and dinner at mojos on three separate occasions. I am one who believe strongly in customer care and above all the decency of communicating with others. On my last occasion, I arrived at the establishment approximately 8:30 PM, there were only four (4) persons apart from me and my wife, in the area we were seated (in the are where we entered). The waiter came to us at approximately 8:56, when he arrived he just handed us menus and walked away. He came back to take our order at exactly 9:23. After waiting until 10:42, I asked another waiter to please check on our meal , at which point he called over our original waiter who said, " it coming now, they have to hold on." I pointed out that we have been sitting for a considerable length of time and it would have been nice even if he had said something to us or even offer us a drink to pass the time until the meal arrived ed; not even a glass of water was offered. At 11:12 I went to the Bar and asked for the waiter, he came, and i said to him; I'm really sorry but die to the lack of service we, have decided to call it a night and we will be leaving, he simply said - " have a good night" and walked away. I am saddened at the fact that I wanted as others came in after us and were served and for some reason we were pushed into a corner and forgotten. I went over to BUBBAS where the service was excellent. I cannot help but wonder, if I were of a different skin colour, what would have been the out come. Persons of lesser pigmentation than us were treated with the utmost respect....
Read moreI frequent Barbados and haven’t been to Mojo in a few years but wanted to check out reggae night as we’re staying a stones throw away from the bar. The service was awful. The woman at the front of house is rude and abrasive immediately, she picks and choses which customers she wants to have a smile for. When we were seated, we were ignored and had to ask 3 times for a two drink order. We noticed another table to our left getting served immediately and their drinks coming out straight away. We were asked about food to which we replied ‘not yet’ and the server snatched our menus away. We had to ask 2 different members of staff for the same round of drinks because they would come to us, take our order and not write it down, then go off to all the other tables and write down their orders, leavings ours to be forgotten. We then decided to get some dinner and after waiting 10 minutes for a menu, had to get up and get one ourselves. I found the lady on the front who asked what I wanted, I said a menu and she practically threw one at me and walked off. Watching her and the other servers smile and have great customer service with other tables around us made us feel embarrassed and unwanted. We are avid travellers and have visited hundreds of bars/restaurants over the years. Barbados is my favourite place in the world, but mojo is one of the worst places I’ve ever been to. We cancelled the last drink order (after 20 mins waiting for a rum punch) to which the front of house lady was visually annoyed and we left. Terrible experience,...
Read moreHorrible welcome yesterday Saturday 14th May 2022. My partner and I visited Mojo yesterday, when we got by the door we sanitized our hands and waited at the door but no one came to greet us, we proceeded inside across the bar , spoke to the barmen and went towards the lady at the desk in the corner by the other door, she told us that we can sit anywhere. We went through the door and was greeted by a young man and who asked us if we wanted to sit in the garden and we told him we would sit at the table on the side with the two chairs, he said that's ok . So we sat down and them was approached by a woman who was very obnoxious and unfriendly and I qoute " I know that you were told to sit anywhere but in future wait by the door to be seated" ..first of all this woman did greet us by saying welcome to Mojo, good evening, nothing, she started off as though we walk off the streets and came straight in there and sit down...secondly, she knew that we were told to sit anywhere. What was her reason for approaching us like she did? The worse part of this whole situation is , when I tried to have a conversation with her she turned her back and walked away . I called the waitress over and asked her if the lady is her boss, she said she is the Manager on duty. ..I said I would of let this go but I think you all need to know how your Manager is treating your patrons and causing you to loss business because with that kind of treatment couldn't stay there any longer to spend my hard earn money.....#your Manager needs training how to deal...
