Eating at Ralf and Wolf met our expectations.
Although the menu and concept of schnitzels only seemed underwhelming at first, we had a lovely dinner.
The building itself is known and has tremendous historical value.
While entering, we loved how the entry was decorated. However, the staff did not make immediate eye contact and kept doing what they were doing. There were a few seconds of awkwardness before they showed us to our table.
The house cocktail was delicious and gave an expected buzz—really great. Our table opted for the schnitzel and burger with different side dishes. The tomato salad felt like they didn't make an effort to add flavors or bite-sized bits. Since it's summer season, I also expected flavorful tomatoes and not the tasteless produce you get in a supermarket promo.
Other parts of the meal were good and yummy, both flavor-wise and ingredient-wise. I had the panna cotta as dessert. Our table also ordered coffee, tea, and a digestive. My dessert was brought, so it was a little bit inconvenient that I had to wait for my drink order to accompany my dessert.
At some point, service became hectic, and it felt like they were one crew member short of good service. Although staff were running and trying to keep on top of things, our dirty plates stayed a little too long, and we saw lots of people awkwardly looking around us. If the emptyness between meals takes too long, it gives awkward silences, so that might be a point...
Read moreVery beautiful styled restaurant with beautiful decor. I found the restaurant to be very loud and noisy, I could not hear the people at my table very well, not sure if it has something to do with the soundproofing or the people around us. The waiters were very friendly and informative explaining the concept of the restaurant. I ordered the Japanese chicken schnitzel. Unfortunately this was positioned in a pool of sauce and so the bottom of the crunchy schnitzel became soft and not appetizing. Maybe they should serve the sauce in a separate bowl. Another point of advice: the white wine bottle should be put in a bottle cooler. Our bottle was out on our table getting warm all evening . My tiramisu was original and tasty only could it be a little bit bigger. Overall a...
