Da Basilico 🇮🇹 — Restaurant in Antwerp

I'm often disappointed by Italian restaurants, as they tend to skimp on what matters most: quality ingredients!

Not so at Da Basilico, I was pleasantly surprised by the simple, flavourful combinations they use in their dishes, like the salsiccia and frarielli pizza (fennel infused sausage and brocoletti); and the patience they showed in making the parmigiana di melanzane, a staple dish with aubergine and tomato sauce, that simply melted in my mouth.

I went for dinner with my husband to celebrate my birthday. I asked a cola to drink and the waiter made comments that I should not get that as I'm above the weight he considers acceptable for women. I left instantly and I'm never ever...

Place looked okay at first, nothing too fancy. The waitress was very friendly.
