Located centrally, the hotel is convenient for a Bastogne visit at a reasonable price. check-in was smooth. We stayed in the loft set-up, two twin beds (European style) downstairs and an upstairs where there is a bathroom and two twin beds. This arrangement requires navigating steep steps and I wouldn't recommend for anyone with mobility issues. Number 15 is on the top floor, making hauling heavy luggage demanding. Our two floored suited was on the street side and the road is surprisingly busy. A hot summer stay for those accustomed to air conditioning would be stuffy and uncomfortable (noisy too). This set up gives some privacy, but I found the upstairs bathroom very inconvenient. The bathroom shower isn't a welcome set-up for the average American, especially someone who is tall, and re-defines the concept of a shower curtain. The toilet sea was wobbly. The pluses: location, cleanliness need to be weighed against minuses like street noise, stairs within and to the room . Wifi connectivity exists but very slow in the room and anyone planning to use it would be better to go to the downstairs where breakfast is available. Breakfast far set-up at 7:30--coffee croissants and juice. (Door to the hotel wide-open in the day and...

Read moreThis review is for the restaurant/pizzeria only. The only reason for two stars instead of one, is the food, which was actually fairly decent. As for the experience, it was ruined by a few factors, mainly, a huge, extremely rude and noisy group, which was apparently friends with the owner lady (she stopped by the table a few times and joined in the yelling and boisterous laughter). Boorish, extremely loud and completely unrestrained by the owner, these people acted like they owned the restaurant, at the expense of the rest of us - two other parties - that had to endure their presence. The owner did not do anything to restrain said guests, in fact, as mentioned, she seemed to encourage their behavior. Furthermore, at one point, all waitresses (yes, all) left, and the only person left to service the remaining customers was the owner herself. As a result, service, which was slow and fairly poor before, was after this point basically nonexistent. To top it off, we have never waited so long for a pizza in our restaurant-going life. There are plenty of restaurants around the center of Bastogne, most at the same prices, and I see no reason to waste time and money at Giorgi. A very...
