Terborght restaurant — Restaurant in Beersel

We discovered this restaurant with a Groupon voucher: 50 euros p.p. for a 6 course dinner. This was actually also the maximum value, since our dining experience was quite disappointing and didn’t have the Michelin Star level that it should have. The restaurant is pretty big and when we arrived we saw the maitre just for a second. The rest of the staff was friendly, but unexperienced. The food was good, not amazing. But a serie of events turned our dinner into an disappointment. They forgot to serve one of our starters and served it twice to the table next to us. We had to wait till our main course for the bread to arrive, which is obviously pointless by then. One of the wines we ordered was served after the dish was served, so we could not enjoy the taste of the wine and the pairing with the food to its fullest. This is a pity when you know a glass of wine costs around 9 euros. We also didn’t have a knife and fork when our main course arrived, so we had to wait till it was brought to our table. In the meanwhile our food was getting cold. There was hardly any information about the cheese we ordered for dessert. The cheeses were just described as brie, goat cheese,... Mistakes can happen, but this series of events gives me the impression that this restaurant likes to communicate that it has a Michelin Star, but forgets to put efforts...

The food is very tasty, well presented and the space is quite pleasant. All in all, we spend a good night. Until the moment that the bill has arrived... 50 EUR just for (tap) water.. unbelievable, specially because 5 out of 6 of us took the wine pairing. They have charged us for 5L of water, costing 10 EUR/L. We asked some explanations and to show us where the price of the water was in the menu, but they could not. We asked to talk with the manager and to have it explained, but she didn't show up (and she was serving us all time during the night). At the end we were "obliged" to pay for 5L of water (50 EUR) and they couldn't even show us the price. Ah, and it was pure...

ik ben met vrienden de uitgebreide menu gaan eten en was toch wel wat teleurgesteld. eerst en vooral het was zeer warm die dag ( 28c° ) er werd ons geen voorstel gedaan om evt. het aperitief op het terras te nemen. de bediening was allesbehalve, in het begin kregen we al een gerecht dat niet bij onze menu hoorde en zeiden ze dat dit nog een extra van het huis was. oké dit was wel een lekker gerecht maar dan zit je daar met een viscouvert om tomaat met garnaaltjes te eten. het volgende dat hem voordeed de zeebaars konden ze niet garen in zoutkorst zoals op de menu omschreven omdat deze te groot was! ik maakte een opmerking dat bij het volgend gerecht geserveerd werd lam - schouder - carré - zwarte look - ratatouille. ik vroeg dus excuseer maar waar vind ik de schouder of de look terug? toen ze mij antwoorden dat deze in de ratatouille zat. wat dus niet waar was. krijgen we ons daarop volgend gerecht de duif uit de anjou met daarbij dan de schouder van het lam in een kroketje en de zwarte look. dan de degustatie van desserts was dan ook gewoon de desserts van de andere menu en dan kwamen ze terwijl het dessert nog moest komen al met de koffie versnaperingen aan. sorry voor de kok, ik weet niet wat er mis liep dat weekend maar ik vind dit niet kunnen voor €250...
