Carlito's Piazza — Restaurant in Bruges

Let me start by stating that the food was okay (though I personally didn’t appreciate that they put curry in my Italien chicken-mushroom pasta but perhaps I didn’t pay attention when ordering so no complaints about that) ; the reason for the 2 stars is the scandalous service we experienced last night. We were a group of 13 (adults and kids mixed) and after ordering our dinner - hungry like a wolf after a swimming competition, kids exhausted - only two plates arrived to our table and when half an hour later we dared to ask where are the other dishes they said they “forgot” the rest because our order was “complicated”....when they realised this hiccup after our question they prepared our food in a haste...When after this long delay we finally finished our dinner and wanted to pay separately by families, we were told again that we were complicated guest and at the end we had to split ourselves the bill... There were some other moments when they really made us feel that they never heard of the golden rule of catering that the customer is always right...At the end we stayed zen and just wanted to get out and...

I went to Pizzeria Carlioto to eat something outside the tourist center of the city. The restaurant makes a very good impression right from the entrance. It is clear that they run the restaurant with heart. The staff speaks English and is very polite. The place has a lot of space, with numerous tables for guests, and everything is very clean. I asked the staff for a pizza recommendation and chose the one they suggested. The wait time for the pizza was surprisingly short, but I was there quite early and there weren't too many guests. The pizza has a thick crust and a thin, soft dough. The ingredients are fresh and of high quality. The ham on my pizza was a bit too salty for me, but that's typical of this topping. The price-quality ratio is very good. It wasn't the best pizza I've ever had, but I would happily return here if I feel like having pizza again.

Ordered caprese with fromage bruschetta, got some meat pizza with garlic bruschetta. I live about 8 kms away so got home and was excited n hungry to eat, but was disappointed. Called the restaurant and the only option was to come and collect and was told they will make correct with discount. I reach there and get caprese with giant slices of tomatoes on it instead of cherry tomatoes. There was no basil either. Upon asking three or four leaves were placed on it raw basil on a pizza. The lady then handed me 1 euro for waiting 2 hours hungry and travelling twice all the way. I don't mind mistakes every one makes them, but how you act on it matters. They didn't have the courtesy to make second pizza correctly also and demean customers by offering 1 euro as compensation. They should instead of 1euro at least offer to deliver the correct pizza instead of asking the customer to come all...
