Not sure what was happening at that specific day, maybe it was too busy and a bank holiday, however, the service was really wacky. We were trying to find the entrance, once we did, we looked inside because it seemed closed. The staff looked at us as we were beggars and kept doing their own thing further. We returned back to open the door and verify and it was open! Nobody even gave us a sign, or even a word to enter. Strange.

Anyway, the coffee was fine and we had a cinnamon roll, very special as well. To keep it short: it was underbaked and still raw. Half of the coffee was drunk when the “roll” arrived.

The vibe was good though and the food at the neighboring tables seemed nice. Would give it another chance because I genuinely want to believe it was just a big confusion...

There are so many eateries to chose from in Durbuy but this place stood out by it's charming outdoor space. We decided to eat indoors. It was just as much charming and quirky. The menu is limited but I consider that a good thing as you often get the quality and it was.

FOOD

My husband had the Croque de Soleil. Basically, two slices of bread filled with toasted vegetables, ham and cheese then the bread seemed to have been baked in the oven or grill. I had meat balls in tomato sauce, which came with chips.

DRINKS

The local apple juice was simply devine. Is My husband had 'La Pom' a fruit biere with a hint of apple flavour. Very nice indeed.

Definitely somewhere to stop for a bite to eat...

Very disrespectful to its customers. We spent 33 euros and apparently you can only pay with a Belgian card, no vpay, visa or mastercard. So they send me looking for a cashmachine while kept my pregnant wife in the shop, not allowing her even to sit somewhere while waiting.

I even had to pay 2 euro transaction fees to withdraw money and all these for the owner to save something like 30 cents from the vpay transaction fees (imagine the quality of products he puts in your food). The are many other better places to visit for food or drinks in Durbuy where you will have full peace of mind and enjoy...

We had a great meal here! We managed to get a spot last minute on the garden terrace and were served quickly. I had a croque-monsieur and a local wheat beer. The food was very tasty, filling, and well-prepared. The terrace has a really cozy and charming atmosphere. I only saw the restaurant part, not the hotel.
