Beware groups above 4!

Frankly disappointing and underwhelming. We went here for our parents 25th wedding anniversary and this establishment truly reduced the quality of our celebration. We made a reservation for 8 people in advance and where told after our drink order had been taken that we could only pick 4 different main courses (this also applied to starters, which we did not choose for obvious reasons), regardless of anyone's dietary restrictions.

The waiter was rude to us in explaining this rule and called us selfish for wanting to order different dishes. Additionally, there is a rule for the menu that the whole table must order the same meal again. We were disrespected and spoken to in an unkind manner that this was the norm in Belgium, although we know for a fact that this is not true. We were argued with that this was the service offered and that there is no considerations for different dietary needs.

This Italian restaurant was also out of burrata (one of the most popular vegetarian options) and had limited options otherwise. Neither were several classic Italian dishes available, such as carbonara.

The service was poor, as several drinks orders were lost or mistaken. Communication with waiters was difficult, even though we spoke Dutch and English. Needless to say, we did not leave a tip and would...

I was looking forward to a relaxed evening, but unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was far from pleasant. From the start, the service was unaccommodating. When we ordered our main course first and later requested a starter, the waitress refused to enter it, stating it was “not possible” and that we should have ordered in the correct order. The way this was communicated felt rude and dismissive.

Additionally, when asked if we wanted wine, I requested just a glass, but the waitress responded in an unprofessional manner, insisting on a bottle. A simple preference should be respected without unnecessary remarks.

Beyond the poor service, the food was disappointing—overpriced, not well-cooked, and lacking in flavor. Paying €90 for an undercooked dish is simply unacceptable. The atmosphere was also quite noisy, making it hard to enjoy the meal.

Overall, I left feeling unwelcome and undervalued. Sadly, I will not be returning, as neither the service nor the food met even basic...

We wanted to have a small snack, so we went here to have some. My mom and I ordered the Tiramisu, with some fruit and chocolate, but it nothing special and was quite overpriced (€10 for a small portion). One the my raspberry where moldy, but I quickly received a hole new dish. My dad had some (italian) water 1/2, but was WAY overpriced! In the store you pay like 2 euro’s for a small bottle and there 6 euro… My sister had a dish with cheese balls and some salad (Croquettes parmesan, €13) and a alcoholic free Mojito (€12), which was pretty good and the Mojito was well filled. Overal experience, there was nothing Italian about this place, except for the food. The prices where mwaa, €51 for 4 people having snack and some drinks. The service was fine. It was a typical Italian restaurant with a non Italian owner, if people see Italian they want Italian. The food wasn’t bad overal, but no...

Vanavond heerlijk gegeten met 7 personen. 4 voorgerechten gedeeld en 2 flessen wijn. Als hoofdgerecht de linguine met scampi’s gehad. Hele vriendelijke bediening en leuke sfeer. Zeker aanrader.

Well, what can I say. I'm a restaurant owner in Washington state so it pains me to leave a 1 star. First clue the waiters are wearing Air Jordan's and jeans. I ordered the 65 Euro 2020 classico and was served the 35 euro Chianti Rufino. I ordered the Carpacchio boeuffor a starter and was served the Parmesan Croquettes. My second plate was the Escalope spaghetti , very little Scallops and mostly empty clam shells. We asked for some Balsamic Vinaigrette for our bread and the waiter said sure, then nothing. All the restaurants in Durbey are busy so they can get away with this. But save yourself some hassle and go anywhere else. I broke my own rule, the small restaurants with few tables value every table and every customer, not this place too big and busy and they churn out the food.
