Nice place for a brunch during the summertime. If you like vegetarian food this is a good and valuable alternative to the places you are used to going in Genk. Homemade tasty food and decent fresh mocktails. It may be you have to wait a little while before getting served but the waiter is pretty friendly and helpful. Important that you ask for the menù or suggestions in a way to have an overall overview of what's available that day. The parking spot is not so far away and the local is at a central position next to the main shops like H&M so you can chill after shopping (check out the closing hours tho). We've been to El Verde now on several occasions and every time it has been a great experience. Nice vegan/vegetarian resto/bistro where the owners ( a collective of young entrepreneurs with a feel and nose for great food) put on display their skill and best effort to create beautiful and tasteful vegan & vegetarian dishes which make you long to come again. Flavours are succulent and the dishes are (on every occasion we've been there) creatively put together dashing away from the beaten path of dishes you usually get at vegan/veggy locations.

This place has a very cozy atmosphere everywhere you look. The outside terrace was attracting us from the start to enter. We were very pleased we entered this place. The staff was very friendly helpful and lets you feel at ease. After having a very tasty coffee, we decided to take lunch as well. The choices are vegan but very varying so you will find something you like. Everything was super tasty and surprising. They use very good products and are well prepared. Prices are very fair for what you get. Portions are also what I would expect for a lunch. This place definitely goes into my recommendations list...
