I went here to have breakfast and celebrate actually our anniversary with a good start of the day which turned into a disaster. The service is extremely slow. They came to ask us almost after 20 minutes and that's just because I stopped someone. The place was not even full. I asked them if I could order mint thee with the menu, they said yes. We ordered orange juice and fresh mint tea with the breakfast. They brought both on the same time. If you drink first your juice, the tea will be cold, if you first drink the tea, the juice will be warm. Not logical at all!!! Later when they brought the breakfast there was no jam, no butter. We realized this after we were almost done with our second piece of bread. I showed her the menu and she apologised and said sorry, it never happened before. When we looked at other peoples boards who also had ordered the same breakfast, they also did not have butter and jam, so it was definitely not the first time. The orange juice was very watery and bitter. When we saw the people next to us putting sugar in their juice, we did the same so we could make it a bit drinkable. The eggs were also badly done. Both had water in it. So unproffessional! After all this bad service, at the end they even charged us 1 eur extra for the mint tea, which they did not tell us when we had asked. What a shame! The food might be great, but I'll never know. We walked in, hostess allowed us to take a space at the countertop instead of a table, as they were all reserved. She said she'd be over soon to explain the menus to us as we don't speak Dutch. Ok a few minutes go by, we know she's busy so no worries. More time passes until we finally decide to go somewhere (anywhere) else because we're hungry. Seemed like it could be nice - a little on the expensive side, but the service was lacking.

Edit: response to owner's reply I can't really remember the waitress entirely, except she had dark hair. The place was busy but it wasn't packed, meaning we saw a few open tables and seats at the bar. Many places I've been to have been busy, but I rarely walk out of a restaurant after...

I have been here two times, one with my friend and next time with a hope that service would maybe got better, for an important business lunch. It was still disappointment. Service is slow before: when we finish checking our menu, it means you may come and take order of your customer. We waited too much.

Service is slow after: when we finish our meal, it means you must take our plates in front of us before we ask from you to do it. After we asked from you to do it, you took the plates but not cleaned the table. We had to clean the table ourselves with napkins.
