Theatercafe — Restaurant in Hasselt

We recently had a pleasure to have our wedding venue held in Theatercafé. I have to admit everything has exceeded my expectations. We had a private room reserved for us that was very elegantly decorated for the occasion. The food was excellent and since we had a few children attend the event there was a separate menu for them to enjoy. There is also a big place in the corner of the restaurant were kids can play and entertain themselves which is also a huge plus. Everything was well thought and prepared. Service was professional. We had a bathroom attached to the room just for us and our guests so we didn't have to walk through the restaurant every time. Following my request the staff has even prepared a little corner for breastfeeding so that my sisters could feel comfortable and private. Almost everytime its taken a good 45 mins to get food on the table after ordering. This time it was a record 1:30 hours after multiple follow-ups. People who ordered long after us gor their food earlier. And, they forgot french fries from the steak dish. They got upset saying "you ate all the food and then asked for French fries". So it is the customer who has to tell them that French fries are included in a steak dish, and listen to them whine about it. Its a structural issue with this place. Food is good, but nothing out of the ordinary whatsoever. Will avoid this place as much as possible next time. Very nice cafe. The location of the cafe is perfect for people with children. There is a park for children next to the cafe. The coffee and food are good. The waiters are nice and fast.
