DOOR9 Hotel — Hotel in Hasselt

This is not a hotel for those who like to have a reception and assistance with various services. This is not a hotel for those who aren't tech-savvy. Check-in, check-out, and door opening, as well as all requests for assistance, are handled via email or smartphone and various apps. The location is central, but the rooms on the lower floors are noisy. Tourists and locals are open late, and the noise is audible. Furthermore, the streets are closed and is not possible call one Taxis in front of the exit door.

The hotel is currently undergoing maintenance (September 20, 2025). It wasn't possible to have breakfast, and in the morning there's a constant flow of various workers.

Overall, after requesting a room change, I was satisfied. The upper floor was quiet and the rooms were new. Coffee, tea, and milk were provided, but the minibar was completely empty.

Staff and assistance were absent, but the rooms were very good.

I stayed here 2x. First time, I had a large room with double bed even though I booked as a single guest. I was on the third floor and had a really quiet night with good sleep. The second time, i was on the second floor in a room with a single bed that was pressed against the wall. To me, the comfort and luxury was not up to the price I paid.

The second time I also had difficulties with opening the doors (that goes through an automatic app on phone - there is no staff on site) and had to call the hotel. They picked up and helped me quickly. Unfortunately there were many loud guests coming home after 1am and others leaving before 5am, so I did not sleep very much as the doors are noisy when they slam shut, even on other floors or in...
