Pâtisserie Gerlache — Restaurant in Houyet

Visited a month ago. What can I say about this patisserie rather than it is quite good. It is a colourful show of delicious stuff. It is not only beautiful but delicious. On top on being in a cozy town and the staff being friendly and helpful. And the cherry of the cake is that they place your orders in a beautiful box to avoid your food getting messy during the transport. We are losing these small details nowadays. And this patisserie did not cut on the details, which is appreciated....

Stayed just one night in this town and popped here in the morning for some treats. Friendly staff who could decipher my terrible french. Got a couple of waffles, a raspberry tart and lemon merignue tart. Ended up eating them back home in England after a long day in the car. Still...

Étant un habitué du lieu, un jour je me suis demandé, mais que font-ils des invendus ? L'étale est si bien garnis, il y a tellement de variétés et surtout en grande quantité. Normal, ça tourne. Ce dimanche, j'ai eu ma réponse. J'ai payé 3,90 € pour une petite pâtisserie au chocolat qui d'apparence avait l'air très appétissant. Quelle surprise à l'heure de la dégustation. Un gâteau durcit, sec et une sensation de fraîcheur bien dépassée.
