Colmar — Restaurant in Kortrijk

I left this place rather disappointed.

From the moment we walked in, the experience felt off. The chef greeted us kindly at the door, but the waitstaff were all sitting at a table having their lunch instead of attending to guests.

We came specifically for the buffet lunch, which this place is known for, but the waiter informed us it wasn’t available. While we were left to browse the menu, the staff continued eating the buffet themselves and paid little attention to us. Many tables around us were still dirty, yet the staff remained seated and chatting. There were only two tables to serve in the whole room, including ours, so the lack of service was especially noticeable.

I ordered a steak, but when it arrived it was clearly not fresh—it had a strong, unpleasant smell. When I tried to find the waiter to let him know, he was nowhere to be seen, likely still eating with the other staff. Thankfully, the chef, Cris, stepped in and kindly replaced the steak, but by the time it arrived my partner had already finished his meal.

I truly appreciate the effort of the chef, but the rest of the staff left a very poor impression. Unfortunately, I would not return here and cannot recommend...

We have arrived here with the help of a local student. At first glance it is a nice place with nice music. A family restaurant. The prices are good, not too expensive. We went into the train wagon to eat. The difference of temperature is huge! The entire period we've stayed here, we've started to sweat a lot. The drinks have arrive quickly, but for the food we have waited 1 hour (+/- 5 minutes). The waiters are normal people, they did not do anything wrong, but nothing exceptional either. The food was good, except the chicken burger where the chicken has been so crispy that sometimes it hurt my gums. If you don't want to climb a little mount Everest, don't go to the toilet. In conclusion, my entire experience has been lower than 3 stars (overall it was 2.5 stars) and, honestly, I will not...

This restaurant is so racist. They're written that it's BUFFET "A VOLONTÉ" meaning we can serve all we want before the closing time ! I pay for my buffet "A VOLONTÉ" We are a french couple and they cleaned out our table by force and told us to go. In the mean time, beside our table there's a Flemish couple that arrived at the same time with us and they didn't asked them to go !! We were really hallucinated by this action and really disappointed by their service.

I really don't recommend this restaurant in Kortrijk, nor anywhere else...
